Cardinals Airbus-All Superbowl Aircraft Discussion (MERGED)

Just wondered if anyone knows if the Cardinals are flying home on the Usairways Cardinals painted airbus?? Would be cool if they were. Just saw Sully and his crew , WHAT AN HONOR.

US does not have the Cardinal charter. The A319 in the Cardinal's colors was scheduled for a PHL-SFO-PHX-EWR turn tonight. I dont remember the routing for tomorrow, but it was not scheduled for a TPA turn. The Steelers plane however was to head to DCA in the morning at 705am from TPA.

The Cardinals travelled in style from PHX to TPA on a NW A-330. And while the Steelers where only on a US 757 it was at the Teams Request the same aircraft that flew them to the Super Bowl in DTW 3 years which they had requested back then as it had taken them to two victorius playoff games that season.

The Cardinals were game as hell. I loved it.

I usually could give a happy damn about a football game but I had to watch this one. Nice tight game. Nice surprises too.

It really was a great game. Now, remember when the new livery flew into Pit??? I got off the plane waving my terrible towel and they won Super Bowl that year too. Guess you know I had the terrible towel with me tonight watching the game. I too was so proud of the crew--and what about Jennifer Houston?? That was the very best version of the Star Spangled Banner I've ever heard, and she was very brave to do it.

Her vocals were pre-recorded as many Super Bowl performances often are. She seemed really uncomfortable as well. Her reviews have been mixed.

Well, I think they should paint the plane in Steelers colors then. Let US Airways HONOR them. Heck, the Steelers have been loyal patrons of US Airways charters for decades. Why not?
