Change of Control Award

And don't forget where you came from. You too could be making $17 and change per/hr, sooner than you think. What a wake-up call that will be trying to feed your family on that.

WOOHOO! Are you saying I'll get a raise?!?!!? Be a hell of a lot easier on that then the #### I get paid now.

Golden Ram
These are not idle threats. The network is alive and well despite your denial. The proof was in the vote for GC in CLT. Why do you think the turn out was so high. We took time out of our day to voice our disgust with the current IAM bosses.

Canale and his underlings must go and if you don't represent us and continue to berate and belittle us you are next.
Goldenram knows this as he knows that Canale's "Regime" and alot of his supporters [not by their words but by their actions] got thrown out of office not just in CLT. You haven't heard Heydens name anymore either have you?
Alot of Canale's boys already knew they were 'doomed' and didn't even run for office and saved themself of a complete embarassment. Nonetheless, we still reached out to some of those who were elminated from office and asked them to still join in on our path of cleaning this union up. We are about reconciliating since the more unified we are, the more powerful at the table. There can't be hard feelings, and egos must be left aside. Then the masses are stronger.

Anyways, things at the local level are getting 'cleaned up'. Not just at US AIRWAYS, but United, and everywhere else. We started by cleaning up the locals and we won in very convincing fashion 'everywhere' not one loss.
The network has spread and is now 'airborne' and the United workers caught it also. It's inevitable that Boss Canale and his stooges will experience 'great pain' as the Boss will finally be kicked back up to management where he belongs, and his traveling circus show members will have to go back to the ramp. "soon enuf".

And don't forget where you came from. You too could be making $17 and change per/hr, sooner than you think. What a wake-up call that will be trying to feed your family on that. Just something to think about before you start degrading your previous co-workers. Especially since we pay your salary. Think before you speak.
Remember, Goldenram thinks concessions are 'permanent' in an industry that is establishing records by the day.

Also, today, the U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics said October traffic for domestic airlines was up 4% from a year ago to 64.1 million passengers. If the trend of the first 10 months of 2007 continues, it could be a record-breaking year for America's airlines, the agency said.

This industry is set to make another $5 billion this year, your company will make millions. New VP's added daily, Parker's new lucrative contract, money to burn for more wide bodies, upgrading facilities everywhere.....all this and Parker's boy Canale, and Brickner are saying 'the environment is changing' and 'doom and gloom' negotiations. If we have to, we will Bi*** SL** them one more time back to management. Case CLosed!

If things are going to get done then they better be done right. If that takes more time then so be it.

regards,

Golden Ram: The question as to what we are really worth is not up to you to
decide. You're past anger is blinding you to any alternative way of thinking.
I'm sorry for what has happened in the past to you .

It appears from these posts that you have a position of power with the IAM.
If this is true I want to urge you to start thinking about the best interest of
fleet service instead of grinding away at your enemies.

We want a union who will fight for us. Start fighting and we will support
you . Listen to these arguements and intead of reacting to them consider
them. Consider also that your union may have it's own agenda which
is not necesarilly in the best interests of fleet service.

The reason we wanted a new union and now a change of leadership is
perfectly displayed by your attitude. But attitude alone was not the
reason. It was the actions and also the inactions of the 141 that caused
the distrust.

Thank you BF

I think that EVERYONE is willing to send them back to management, not just once, but as long as it takes. Without a t/a, the company hands are tied and can no longer move forward. And with the stock hovering around $10/share, I would assume the pressure is on them, no matter how the IAM Bosses want you to think. At worse, we will be making what we are now 'till 2010 or a little longer. I don't think Parker will last that long if he doesn't transition fleet. We'll see how arrogant he really is in a short time.

And that my friend is the death blow to the company. Do you not see this. You need to take what is being offered. Short of that you have no choice. The pressure is on Doug, but he is not too worried, he has other work lined up as do many others. Thing not of the short-term, but the long-term benefits.

And $100 a barrel oil will in 2008 consume just about every penny in profits from 2007. Assuming demand doesn't drop with the expected recession, eroding some of the pricing power the airlines have regained, don't expect to see big profits anywhere in the airline industry next year.

And that my friend is your problem. You are more worried about the company than the people you should be representing. We will not take what is offered unless it is fair to all involved. Not because of what you or the company say otherwise. Best of luck keeping your position. We do not need attitudes like that anymore.

See you on the unemployment line then!

" you need to take what is being offered" Folks this is an AGC talking, this guy sets in on the bargaining.
Your negotiations hasn't even started and he's telling you to take it. This is one of the ones responsible for
the concessionary contract we have now! This guy makes 100,000 plus a year, goes to conventions,
eats steak and lobster like you eat hamburger, has an expense account, get's raises when your dues go up.
THIS GUY IS UP FOR REELECTION IN MARCH.
GR you should be ashamed, how do you live with yourself, knowingly selling out guys you' ved worked with.

Times are a changing , we must position ourselves for those changes . I know that right now there’s a lot of talk about getting back what was lost and how the last TA was concessionary etc , but I say to you my brothers we will not gain back all that we have lost in one go round . Set your minds to the future , and see what lies ahead of us , another merger , and sooner rather than later .

However , before we can merge again Doug parker needs to conclude a labor agreement , Why ? He has to send a message to the other airlines that he’s capable of signing labor accords and putting an end to the horrid customer service that is US AIRWAYS . The different work groups at this airline consist of some of the most militant workers in the airline industry , if he can begin to put us to bed so to speak , there will be little to stand in the way of a future merger between our company and another . Imagine how much simpler it would be for us to merge with another airline if we didn’t have the labor strife that we’re seeing today .

As one single work group fleet is not holding all of the cards here , we’re just a part of the whole , so none of you should go thinking that I’m implying we hold the golden key to the future of this company , but what we do hold is the lime light . If Parker can sign what is at this time a reasonable agreement with us , it might lead the other unions at this company to snap into reality and take a look at what their demanding and how reasonable it is for their members . Are the unions at US airways looking down the road , or are their eyes firmly planted on the ground in front of them ? I’m not suggesting we take an offer that could be considered a sellout deal and that the other unions at us airways do the same , but what I am suggesting is that we move expediently to conclude a rational agreement that satisfies our needs rather than our wants . Why do I say this? Because we’re going to be back at the table sooner rather than later when we have yet another merger . My fellow brothers and sisters , you know that I considered the last TA to be somewhat fair ,if the company can offer us full holidays and more importantly reasonable job protections , then I believe we should sign an extension and vote on it as soon as possible . After signing such a TA what we will have done is satisfied our needs rather than our wants . We could take the short sighted view and attempt to conduct our next labor agreement as if it were the old days and the aviation industry was standing still rather than moving forward , but that would be a mistake that would cost us dearly in the long run .

How many of you over on the East side foresaw that their might be a possibility to improve your BK contract sooner than it’s expiration date ? Consolidation can help us , help us greatly . Let me tell you something , if we sign an agreement there’s no one at us airways who’s going to push harder for another merger than fleet , why ? Because will get to improve our contract and working conditions all over again with yet ANOTHER TA ! At us airways we’ve been nothing short of the lone innovator within the aviation industry , doug parker was right to merge our two companies , and he’s right about the future of the airlines , just look at how quickly the other airline CEO’s have taken to singing his tune .
We need to sign a contract that builds a safety net for us if no more mergers should arise but at the same time we need to be fully prepared to capitalize on the possibility that there could be yet another merger .

Freedom that sounds like what everybody wants. We don't expect the moon but what is fair and exceptable by all. Most are here for the long haul and want US to not only survive but thrive. I think everybody is ready to make that happen the only question is will Parker and the I Am Management mentality allow us the chance.
