OK, so now I know what the acronyms stand for but I have still cannot determine if you believe carbon dating is accurate or not because don't if you believe the black boxes on Jets work as designed.

I would think technically is is exactly as old as dirt but that's just my opinion.

From your link, it would seem that CD is fairly accurate, at least when testing items that had a know age. Even if it is off by a few centuries, I'd say it's still a fairly accurate representation of the items actual age.

I didn't think they used carbon-dating to estimate the age of Ardi. I think they would have had to use other methods.

I almost sure they use various types of Radiometric dating. Pretty interesting stuff . . . when stoned to the "bone"

Yeah, my guess is Potassium-Argon dating.
