Strip search of a 13 yr old in school.
Only Justice Clarence Thomas would have ruled the search constitutional. “Preservation of order, discipline and safety in public schools is simply not the domain of the Constitution,â€￾ he wrote.

This was an 8-1 ruling.

I'm sorry but if the school has a suspicion the girl should have been confined in an office, parents and police called and if the police determine that there is reasonable cause, then a search can take place. I am glad I do not have kids because had that happened to my kid, I am pretty sure I would be serving time for assault with the possible intent to kill. I agree with NY. There is no situation that justifies what that school did. Especially on the word of a fellow 13 yr old student.

True enough but when those codes come to light and are contested in court, the Thomas's of the world are the issue. We do not need the likes of him saying that it is OK for the school to do a strip search to find a freaking advil.
