Strip search of a 13 yr old in school.
This was an 8-1 ruling.
I'm sorry but if the school has a suspicion the girl should have been confined in an office, parents and police called and if the police determine that there is reasonable cause, then a search can take place. I am glad I do not have kids because had that happened to my kid, I am pretty sure I would be serving time for assault with the possible intent to kill. I agree with NY. There is no situation that justifies what that school did. Especially on the word of a fellow 13 yr old student.
Only Justice Clarence Thomas would have ruled the search constitutional. “Preservation of order, discipline and safety in public schools is simply not the domain of the Constitution,†he wrote.
