I have to agree with you. Same MEC, what would they do differently? What fresh ideas or new isightful strategy? You folks must really be satisfied with the "staus quo".
Dong the same things the same way over and over again...don't expect a different result. Things just don't change that way.
With regard to the PHL LECP...he doesn't count. He's another blow hard. One who can write newsletters behind a screen. That's all you'll get.
Maybe, just maybe next year cycle elections for PHL will bring about a real union president, untainted, with fresh ideas and one who really gets invovled.
Wishful thinking. B)
!
LOL...this is funny
Shame on YOU for condescending those who looked for change; rather than "staus quo" which has yielded ...absolutely "0"!
Being that I know what cheerleader you are and from what camp....Celine would have really kicked butt in PHL and would have literally changed the culture of the MEC...and you know innately what I am speaking of.
In case you forgot, which obviously by your posting you have...the dues $$ belong to the local membership, to serve the membership, NOT the LOCAL reps pay check. There is plenty of funds in the local budget for more meetings and you damn well know it.
The Local needs to write a newsletter just once while in the term of office...wouldn't you think?!!! Shouldn't a member expect that instead of having the MECP do all the writing and giving updates. Can you guys write????
And that is PRECISELY what the dues $$ are for! The Local officers should be having more meetings and communicating with their members who voted them in, instead of the MECP doing all the communicating and writing.
The LECPs should act like LECPs instead of acting like LEC-VPs in an LECP seat!!! Those who take these seats need to act "presidential" instead of followers. Strength is evident in one's character...LECPs need togrow some "balls"!
