What's new

C'mon Fires!

Most mediums sound like ..

DOLLAR DOLLAR DOLLAR DOLLAR

But now that you mention it...this one sounded like ...

NICKEL NICKEL NICKEL NICKEL

ontario's 2 big yellow waterbirds just departed saskatoon about an hour or so ago... heard they were on the way out there to lend a hand... you guys be careful flying around them!!

407,

Do they have you on a short leash???? Not allowed out of Golden??? No fires...all smoke there?.

Well if it makes you feel better, we want no more rain from you over here on this side of the rocks... Rain and more rain...

Glad to see some of you boys out there blowing the dust off your starter switches and Bambi's.......Go Flames Go!

Short leash -- maybe, but NEVER the dreaded short line.

Fear not you Fearless Flat Land Fire Fighters , For I won't be stealing your Fires, I'M not endorsed on level ground Ops 😀

T-Wrecks, I hate to burst the bubble there, but those Flames got extinguished weeks ago in Tampa Bay !

There should be a total of 4 Ontario CL 415s lending a hand in BC. Its not like Ontario is going to need them....its quite wet around here. Funny how Campbells machine left for home the other day! Hey if any of you boys need a hand with those fires and are looking for someone to load and unload the mediums or give them a bath and greasing at the end of the day, send me a pm....would love to be part of the action! Be safe and have fun!! B)

412, or anyone, have you heard any more about a 214 wreck, or was that the 212 that dunked its tail rotor in the drink and went swimming?

DW, to be honest, when i saw you posted i was hoping you had some info.....

i heard a 214 then someone said a campbell 212 so nothing solid....

only thing that seems to be for sure is tundra burned one up(212) while hot refueling. THAT's gonna change some rules me thinks..................

anyone????

I may be corrected on this, but I understand that they were NOT hot refueling on the Tundra machine. It was shut down but a spark happened on touching the nozzle - possibly no bonding strap was used. It was their rap machine...

all the transwest 214's are accounted for and the Mc Dermott 214 is fine , so i think the rumor is false.

If Canada had preliminary reports similar to the FAA web site there would be no reason to rely on the rumour mill.

:elvis:  :elvis:

Campbell 212 in the lake (or out of lake by now). Russian hitch-hiker I think.

Tundra ship was reportedly shut-down at time of their incident. Hot-refuelling has never been intrinsically hazardous - but then again neither has any kind of refuelling if the appropriate precautions are in place and followed.

Time will recount the events leading to this occurence.

Happy to see that no-one was hurt.

Stay safe.
