US and ComAir getting asses kicked right now on CNN!! Chris Chiames on TV looking like a tool 😛 Pictures of thousands of bags backed up in Philly!!!

"Oh boy, isn't this great" Animal House (Flounder)

i don't think its funny at all . some families are getting there christmas ruined because of this nonsense. who ever thinks this was the right thing to do is an idiot . i am not blaming the employees nor managemment but someone has to be accountable for this $&!t!!!!!

yes and i'll bet they all line up for tickets on Uair tommorrow.....
memories to last a lifetime.......

This was the "perfect storm" waiting to happen. Let's think about this for a moment.
1) original problem on Wednesday........bad weather cancelled flights..crews out of position....end of month fewer reserves available......no seats available on later flights......unless nore misconnects. No room for more bags.......very few agents available to rebook (read cost reduction..fewer employees scheduled).
2) sick calls AFTER the situation has already come unglued....make it worse BUT the causes were already there!
3) US Airways is like a vehicle with NO shock absorbers......Can work IF weather is good, loads reasonable etc.
4) Many employees are not in the mood to keep bailing water......who to blame?
5) If Management is NOT responsible for this.......then what is reason to have Management?

Just some thoughts. It started with weather and continued with an unreasonable schedule that could no longer be operated, then with no seats to rebook on. Think of it....thousands of people stranded and our answer is to load planes with bags only, to run to CLT?

Question : What are the chances the Company will survive this? I don't see improvement until January. Are these cracks in the wall or has the wall finally broken and unrepairable?

CNN was not at all hard on us you should have seen all are local channels( in PHL) and the interviews with pax, that was tough

It is very sad people's holidays were ruined, and a whole bunch of passengers are upset with U, vowing never to fly them again.
The reality is that the next time they go on the internet to book a flight, and a U ticket is 20 bucks cheaper than the next guy they will be back. If it is a buisness trip and the boss is paying, they will be forced to. It is all about the money.
Happy Holidays to all.

well..heard cancelled psgrs in cun being put up in hotels costing 560 u.s. dollahs per night on the tab of -u-. my thoughts: 2nd or 3rd week of jan and rmdr of cash that CCY hadnt carried off will be gone and it is shut down for good. merry xmas from-u-. next pay is from harrisburg via pa unemployment.

This is not new .... not long ago we were trucking bags. How many MILLIONS has the company paid AL Crellen (sp?) to take care of this. How many years have they given him to do it? I just don't get it..... This problem goes to the core of why this company strugles ....

Thank goodness we picked up half of Deltas bussiness ... should cover all the delivery charges.....

Memo to Chris Chaimes:

Are you still "excited" about the 25% increase in service that is coming to PHL?

so let me understand this.

midwestern storm knocks out flights (wx happens)
how many flights did UAIR cancel
"" NWAC
"" AMR
"" UAL
"" CAL
"" DAL
"" SWA
"" ATRAn

UAIR canceled what 100? 200? plus the baggage snafu.

COMAIR cancelled 10 TIMES that amount over 1000 yesterday over 900 today

numbers dictate UAIR could have 7-10 days just like that before they cancel the amount done by Comair. it was a computer glicth... (ok our bag system is run by computer it too was a glitch??) now why is the DOT investigating UAIR and nOT COMAIR?

it is a rhetorical question so dont bother.

SO u know; airlines are not responsible for acts of god... delays caused by weather, maintenance, terror, or goverment actions, so if you or any of your family, travels and the flight is cancelled because of bad weather ,you OR THEM better have your amx card with you if you want to sleep in a bed.... READ THE SMALL PRINT ON YOUR TICKETT ENVELOPE.

IF YOU ARE NOT A BELIEVER ; PLEASE ASK 7000W ...

HE SAYS HE KOWS EVERYTHING.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.
