"Every January, Vaughn Cordle, chief analyst with Airline Forecasts of Washington, D.C., issues his prediction of the industry's 10 biggest stories of the year.
No. 1 on his 2005 list: the liquidation of US Airways.

"I think we're on the verge of the collapse of US Airways," Cordle said.

Aviation analyst Michael Boyd, of Evergreen, Colo., agrees. "Stick a fork in them. They're done," he said. "

Vaughn Cordle is an @$$hole UA 777 Captain. Good thing he doesn't have a conflict of interest or anything, or else that rag of a newspaper would've mentioned it.

Tough article my A@@!!! How about tough industry to work in and don't get me started about the so called "tough management" we work under. Get a grip! Do the analysts have any job openings..... this is a NO BRAINER....GO FARES are us...I too can predict things...where do I sign up???? 😛

Why is mr Cordle an @$$hole, as you so elequently (NOT) put it? Because he predicts the emiment demise of U? Or, more tellingly is it because he put the blame squarely on the backs of the employees. He states the final nail was the Christmas fiasco. I guess the truth hurts.

Unreal!!!  The press in the PIT area dont have much to write about do they? Every article about US lately has a been a rehash of old news. Enough already we get the picture.

No, the final nail will be if the company imposes their October contract proposal on the FSA group. The FSA group in PHL will make the Christmas fiasco look like a Sunday picnic.

You've got ba@@'s dude!!!! RIGHT ON!!! Somebody's has to make a stand... I believe everyone has to make their own choice, however.......you get the picture!

And you would expect good news for US Airways from the PIT press? Where the hell have you people been?
