Not so well admitedly. Right now we are getting C2004 pay, 100% cancel, 100% mechanical, 100% deadhead, a maximum of 31 days of vacation, etc.

On top of that, there is talk of the need for upgrades here in the west and the need for some new hires.

Oh well, I guess we'll just have to muddle through.

Not only that, your posts, along with 2 other of your buddies on here, are the only ones I see posting this CRAP!! It doesn't seem as if all the dogs are barking in PHX, just a very small few.. Everyone is dead silent, because they know what has happened is wrong. PERIOD! You must know in your own mind ( as foggy as it is ) that this is hurting you and your fellow AWA employees and, it is getting you nowhere fast.. The Nicolau award won't do you any good if there is no compny for it to pertain to. It won't do you any good if it is not enforced. It will hurt you if there are fences due to seperate contracts. Your mind unfortunately doesn't think outside of PHX, and the end result will hurt you... AHHHH Well... Brick walls don't talk back...

Are you a pilot? Are you married to one? The east tried their very best to decimate the careers of 80%+ of the AWA pilots. It didn't work and now you guys/gals cry foul and want to suddenly negotiate. Those days are over, we spent two years and a million dollars negotiating. One of the most respected Arbitrators in the nation ruled and now we all have to live with the award.

The only thing the east can do to improve their situation is to negotiate a decent contract. They certainly have the right to delay delay delay out of anger but takes money directly out of AAA pilots' pockets. But heck it's a free country they certainly have the right to work for less than EVERY other legacy pilot in the industry if they want.

Fat Lady's not halfway done singing on that..but think what you will. With few exceptions...the AWA posts seem intent merely upon "selling our helplessness" to the east. I wonder why that is? I suppose that if you're fully in the minority...it's perhaps felt necessary to try the bluffing game, or any/all other desperate approaches :blink:

Go east of the Miss and ask around as to how many/any are interested in buying off on the Nic "award".

The obvious conclusion can only be that you guys have it great. I'm happy for you, and will note that your fabulous work conditions make for an even better argument for keeping the sides seperate, rather than even possibly otherwise harming your current utopia in any way.

Once again you have no dog in this fight and from what I have been hearing you seem to be on the UAL forum talking smack over there as well. Let me give you a quick clue as you seem to be somewhat lost. The Nic award was more than fair in fact we on the west again got the #### end of the stick! All the protections that they are crying about are contained within the award! Now I know they wanted Date of hire but sorry sister in our policy it no loger exists and you as well as them need to face facts!

Now the reasons why we won't see a deal to change or effect this award is they never wanted it before and now they have nothing in which to offer us on the west NOTHING!! Now lets talk attrition since this seems to be the topic of so many east debates and concerns. Any attrition they think they had is due to the direct result of this forced marriage!! Without it one thing was certain Airways was as good as liquidated. No money, no plan equals no airline thus NO attrition...

Thanks for your concern for me but it's not necessary. We will be ok as ALPA knows that we will sue and not the bogus crap that the east filed which is as dead as fried chicken...

Addendum: In the normal course of negotiations of any sort, there's generally some degree of both disatisfaction and happiness present on both sides at their successful conclusion, given that both sides fall somewhat short of their highest hopes, but above the level of their worst concerns as well. How is it possible for one side to feel; "and now they have nothing in which to offer us on the west NOTHING!!" unless ALL their wildest dreams have come true..and there's nothing left for them to take?...I'm just curious.
