I have heard so many regional guys in recent days talk of applying to Compass because of the "flow-through to Northwest". Is there any truth to this? <_<

Also, will the hiring for Compass be done through NWA, or through Compass themselves? Whatever the case, do you think a referral from within NWA would help get an interview?

Why not just apply at NWA themselves?
You obviously didn't understand my question. I have no desire to go to NWA. I was simply asking if there was truth to the flow-through rumor. NWA isn't hiring at the present time, so that wouldn't even be an option.

Why make a comment when you can't even answer the question?

Flycrazy, there is absoultely zero truth to the flow thru rumor mill. It will never, ever happen. Sounds like some people may be getting confused with the options that NWA furloughees have. They can accept or decline the Compass offer, however, if they do accept they must commit to two years at Compass. After that point THEY may have the opportunity to return to NWA. There is not going to be a flow thru for hires off the street. EVER.

No, you must not have understood my answer.

The fact is that with so many people bypassing recalls to mainline that there *could* be a real possibility of hiring off the street.

If someone wanted to work at nwa, it theorhetically could save a couple steps for them.

If you have no desire to work at NWA, what do you care?

Thanks for jumping to conclusions/assuming I can't comprehend things, though.

Jackass....

Knock yourself out at $23/hr.

Smart ones are applying at Fed Ex.

Are you guys talking about what they use to have at Continental? I heard they stopped that....

Hmm...well, their not exactly hiring at the present time. Not much sense in applying to a place with a s**tload of pilots on furlough, is there? :glare:

Jackass....

Must not have enough qualifications.
Yeah, that's GOTTA be the reason for the question! "Not enough qualifications." Couldn't be any other POSSIBLE reason!

You guys crack my a** up on this forum. Click with the right hand, stroke with the left. Enjoy!

Flycrazy,
There aren't many pilots on this board and I'll just leave it at that. I would recommend Flightinfo.com or Ailine Pilot Central if you want info of this type. Short answer...no flow thru to NWA. CompASS will do their own interviewing and hiring and it is only to CompASS. Cheers...ExAF

hmmmmm.... future NWA pilot? I guess all the decent ones are going to bail and get replaced by these things.
(p.s. it says on the NWA site to "CHECK BACK!")

(((((ENJOY EVERYONE!)))))

We probably didn't crack your a**, someone else did it first.

Thought Jackass was a movie....

You are correct Jenny, jackass is a movie.
Guess you gotta think twice before responding to anyone with the word "crazy" in their screen name.
In all seriousness, some pilots with families are preferring NOT to send their family on those.... airlines because "those pimple faced bastards probably don't know what they are doing"

I sat there thinking.... weren't you there- once?

Seems like they have the inside scoop on how many TT they are allowing for hiring.

But on another flip side, there are some international airlines who has a cockpit crew that are under 40. (you know...that fly those "big birds")

Good subject of debate.

But on the mechanic side- having had experience in restoring cars, I know personaly the best mechanics are the most experienced (who are usually OOOOOLLLLDDDD)

are the NW planes falling apart? I think we don't have experienced people who know what they are doing... <_< Or they come to work to smell jetwash because it makes them high.
