On a stage length of approx. 250 miles with a 7000' runway, standard day with reserves, PSA CRJ200 metal can you expect seat restrictions?
Serious answers only please.

Should not be a problem. We do TYS-CLT all the time full and it is around 170nm. With the short stage lengths you can run into problems due to max land wt of 47000# and not enough distance to burn fuel when you need wx alternate. If we are restricted it is almost always due to max land weight and not field length.

it may be restricted if there is bad weather either at orig or dest station or if they have to reroute. i have already seen it on their release hope that helps. sometimes the restrictions have been as low as say 45pax and 49 bags.

I know your asking about PSA, but this may be of interest to you. Delta Connections carrier ASA is flying the CRJ200 from LYH's 5800' runway into ATL. Without checking, I believe the distance between ATL and LYH is greater than 250 miles. I have no idea what restriction are, if any.

If you start to see 7000 to 9000 lbs of fuel you start restricting the seats/bags. By the way what is the max fuel capacity on crj200

book says 14518....hard to get it over 14K, though. Never seen fuel planning that high, except for trans-con repo.

One time I was on a CRJ-200 from a snowy CAK to snowy ORD (343 miles) that had to bump 7 passengers for weight restrictions, and that was before the FAA revised the average (fat) passenger weight up.

I don't know what the reliabilty of the ASA flights are regarding restrictions but LYH has just let bids on a 1301' x 150' extension to main runway. I imagine restrictions have been a problem on hot days.

ASA is using the 40-seat CRJ into LYH, so restrictions, if any, are a rare occasion. They are lengthening the main runway at LYH though.
