Thanks for your participation in the referendum vote...
Tomorrow is the last day for mail ballots to be received in the vote to approve or disapprove the proposed CWA alliance with the Teamsters to jointly represent the US Airways (CWA) Passenger Service Employees and the America West (Teamsters) Passenger Service Employees.
The CWA Local Presidents will travel to CWA's Washington DC headquarters tomorrow to count the ballots and to announce the results. You should hear the results of the vote via email message and website by tomorrow afternoon.
However you voted, thank you very much for your participation in this important ballot on this complex and significant issue that is affecting our passenger service careers. Your CWA local officers and staff will continue to work hard to implement the mandate of the membership.

Its 720am!!! 😉
You dont think they were up that early do you? It isnt Christmas morning... 🙄

Actually, they said they should have the vote and results announced by sometime this afternoon.
Any snow out there in RNO yet, or did it all hit further East in Colo? We' re just waiting for it to break 70 at night and 90 during the day.

oops.. 84% yes .. 16% no

"After much discussion and debate, and following the recommendations of the CWA Local President’s, the US Airways passenger service employees have voted by a margin of 84% YES to 16% NO in favor of the proposed passenger service alliance to jointly represent the US Airways and America West agents. "

That shocks the hell out of me....I thought for sure this was going down in flames.

I voted this one DOWN

Several other also did.
How can this crap constantly pass???

Something smells fishy in Denmark-or CCY?

No snow yet, but it got awfuly windy tonight. Can't wait!! Beautiful days and windy cool nights. Denver and Billings got lots of snow==wonder if SLC got any. I'll have to call Amy.

Just for the record...there were only around 1400 agents out of 6000 who actually cast votes....84pct yes...16pct no for cwa......thats 4600 who didnt bother......

Too bad we cant get a list of those who didnt vote so next time they #### about something with the CWA we can cut them off instead of listening to them....
Ya dont vote, ya dont ####... 😛h34r:

I agree.....so many people like to cast blame and blast the union reps and the union yet we barely had 20pct of the total cwa group cast a vote...this is the weakest group of people i have ever seen in an organization that relies on people sticking together to make a difference.......20pct of the eligible voters decided on this merger....its pathetic

tadjr,

I've long thought that once you vote, you should get a button stating you voted. Then, you are free to moan, groan and complain all you want. No button, no b#%$hing! B)

If you wanted to vote no, why didnt you mark no and send it back in? It didnt cost anything and you would know that your no meant no, not maybe no, if someone told you right....
The problem is (and I get it a lot since I used to be a shop steward) people dont want to be bothered until it affects them, and usually by that point, its too late for anything to be done FOR them. Some people will never learn.
Vote!
