They CERTAINLY DO care when a west 34 year old pilot is placed senior to an east 55 year old pilot. That relative youngster will be a roadblock for 30 years to their generally older pilot corps. Do you think the AA pilots are stupid like you guys?

From where did you hear that? I was sent an APA update that told their pilots to expect slotting ala Nic. Why would they care about age? Why do you have to add that to the discussion?

"We have seen a model for a successfully arbitrated seniority integration at Delta-Northwest using fences and a ratio methodology based on a percentile seniority list ranking. Also, if an American Airlines-US Airways seniority integration were to be arbitrated, our attorneys have indicated that the ongoing seniority dispute between “West” and “East” at US Airways would be settled as part of the process and should not have any negative impact on an arbitrator’s decision under the McCaskill-Bond statute."

Umm. Take a look at the list. Finding a single example does not make your argument. The average age difference between east and west is less then 5 years.

The APA does not want any us air pilots senior to the for a day a week or a year. Ask a TWA pilot how APA felt about having an "old" guy in front of the,.

Pull your head out and stop believing your own failed argument.

If you want to argue age you are going to need to rearrange your list by DOB.

APA knows that they won't fare well in arbitration, as bankrupt carriers generally don't. They'll deal with USAPA, and I expect a fair SLI early in the process. By fair, I mean NO NIC. It's dead. Won't be back. Count on it.

The NOTICE of appeal is a place holder in case the merger fails. The appeal will not be filed for several months.
