Haven't been following the thread between us, I see.
It's one thing to disagree about politics, religion, etc. These conversations certainly mean the use of professionalism when engaged in doing their job.
When the disagreement leads to overt disrespect, that carries different connotations. Is it justifiable for the disrespect to reach the level of, say, the FFDO shooting a pilot because he doesn't respect the other pilot? (I'm not an FFDO, BTW). Just making an absurd argument here but under absolutely NO circumstances do I endorse this method of conflict resolution.....theres too much of that going on in this day and age, especially after yesterday.
I've NEVER disrespected any crewmember I've flown with and in fact I've always tried to include all crewmembers in the decision making process where appropriate. But I have been here at this airline long enough to know that the seniority issue is THE MOST CONTENTIOUS issue at US Airways/AWA and continues to fester over time if one group feels they're getting such a raw deal they lash out in an unprofessional manner. That is the point I was making and comments that move closer to the absurd can have negative connotations and consequences.....especially in this day and age.
Using web boards as flame baiting can be a dangerous occupation and can lead into other areas in life. I'm just stating the obvious, not endorsing the method in ANY case.
That is the point I was trying to convey. When someone trys to insinuate someone is a pretty "weak ass Captain" and #### has NO PLACE in the cockpit of a major airliner.
