As these West pilots continue to remain entrenched in their positions it would not surprise me in the least that a work around seems in the works if Bob Crandall sees fit to put an Xmas video out about seniority. It's what I've been arguing all along. Seniority over a contract first. As an ex-executive he's sees the danger of it an knows that the Nicolau award is not it.

My obvious ( biased ) thoughts and questions on video.


1- what $ group was the incentive for production of vid ?
2- what's Mr Crandall gain from involvement ?
3- why titled " thoughts to AA pilots " only ?

Noted:
- He told AA the possible negatives going forward for some individuals
- He pointed out the " acrimonious " sli of aaa/AWA
- asked all to consider long term advantage vs short term negatives
- threw out the possible base closure scenario
- have also seen him bringing up sli on tv recently
- he believes with an sli the merge is good.......w/o not so

I would venture a guess that AMR management has asked Crandall to address the pilots on this issue because of the respect the APA traditionally has for him and they are willing to listen to his advice. Crandall is right, seniority first then a contract.

You are correct. Bob Crandall was rolled out for a specific purpose. He knows how to run an airline. This guy makes Parker look like the amateur he has proved himself to be time and again. The western div. pilots better listen up. The Nicolau is not in the recipe for the Crandall Plan. It only makes everything worse for this deal. They trashed that plan long ago. Crandall is aware of the travesty and failure of the Nicolau Scheme. He knows how that prevented, and will FOREVER prevent Parker from combining east and western pilots. Crandall is looking beyond the problems the Nicolau brought on, the problems Leonidas has caused time and again. The majority of the pilots on the LCC property will now step over the Nicolau, and throw it away as it should be. Then merge with the AA pilots. The numbers are there to make this happen, despite the PHX reps continuing to cause the company problems with an unworkable solution. Ask Cactusboy how badly things are now going for his Nicolau scheme. He is surprisingly silent.

Son you are still in denial, there is no more NIC and which compny are you talking about. Everyday that goes by you westies are losing out on growth I don't think PHX will be around as it is today a year or two from now, but hey roll the dice.
