Air Cal, ratioed. TWA, BK'd and with no place to go was ratio'd with about half stapled. Trans Carib ratio'd. Reno? The most senior captain had 7 years seniority and made more money as an F/O at AA. Where do you come up with this stuff?

Is there more wrong with you besides the obvious?

We're a screwed up pilot group.. I get that. APA has a lot of warts, but what point are you trying to make here Claxon?

LCC/USAPA has by far been the biggest and longest lasting black eye the professional pilot profession has seen since the Wright brothers.

I post links you post your humble opinion. Sky notice.

Why? Just curious..

A fair question.

I viewed the Road Show videos on the USAPA web site, including the Q&A's. Based on what I saw, approving the MOU can improve the lot of all USAirways pilots, especially those with 5 or less years remaining in their careers, I believe a YES vote is appropriate for me and my family. It's time to move forward for a change, and if the alternative is a few more years on LOA 93, then a YES vote is the only choice for many of us.

Attorney Pat Szymanski explains clearly why they conceded the COC from an economic standpoint.

Of course, as they point out, it's all moot if the merger is a no-go. AA could try to acquire US at some point later post BK, and we would be back to square one.

I guess we'll know next week......

So should we staple a loser bankrupt airline like AA?

AAviator sure left quickly, I wanted to ask him more about the pilot b scale allowed by American Airline pilots.

If this merger goes through, you East pilots should join ranks with the former TWA, Reno and Air Cal pilots that now fly for AA and have a thank you for all you have done party.

Well there's a sucker born everyday that believe's what he is told, very impressive. They would never lie to us would they, the company wants to reward us with this fine contract, poor Tony better hope pay rates at DAL and UAL do not go down because ours will follow, great MOU. Remember you fellow senoir surfers go ahead of you on jumpseat to and from SAN, we gave that up,guess they did not tell you at the meeting.

This leads me to a couple of other questions:
1.) Why didn't we just have the MOU specify that we keep our jumpseat reservation system & policy?
2.) What specific thing did we receive in exchange for agreeing to give up the ability to reserve the jumpseat?

I'm in very good company. Even one of the founding father's of USAPA that posts here says he is voting YES.

Absent a 9-11 type event or the Israeli's blow up the Iranian uranium centrifuges, the pendulum is finally swinging towards better pay and work rules for the pilot profession. Why yes, that illusory "pilot shortage" is finally here. Even you Courtney, will benefit from all the good things that might come from a merger with American Airlines.

As an aside, in reading the MOU, I noticed the words "binding" and "arbitration" used numerous times. Look at it this way. If you're not happy with any result forthcoming, simply rent a van, get CLAXON and the rest of the USAviation malcontents, drive to DFW and surround APA headquarters. You showed 'em once, I'm confident you can do it again!

Two things regarding the jumpseat. One, when the MOU passes it will be some time before any new procedure is implemented, if at all. And secondly, once JS retires I will be the senior SAN commuter.

Don't forget to vote!

and YOU'RE an illiterate, morbidly obese SCAB! Again, (I know you don't care) but in the interest of clarity...I"m not Kevin anybody.

Courtney loves to talk tough, but in the end, he is just an obese, barely talented bigmouth with a ten year old girl's first name.

Claxon, I hope theres a pount you are trying to make. If there is, you are covering a lot of ground and not making sense. 1964? Really? 1983 b scale? There are somewhere around 100 of those guys left and they're leaving at a pretty rapid clip I fail to see what that has to do with the current pilot group.

This pilot group has without question to negotiate thebe best pilot contract in the history of any bankrupt airlines. End of discussion.

If I could vote I'd vote no, if you're referring to me..

All of that drivel from a guy that says he does not even work at US Airways.

Clax has never had a point other than to bash the "westeners" as he calls us. Bringing up old issues because he has nothing relevant to add.

Clax is a waste of time reading his spew. Ignore works just fine. Responded to him is worthless.
