Will someone explain the total minimum blocks hrs?

If you would care for a fairly good quality laugh....just ask any number of different people to specifically define the exact parameters and "protections" contained within the phrase "scheduled to be flown".

Good luck to all concerned. I sincerely hope my gross misgivings prove unfounded.
 
No not mad. Just not going to let slide ignorant and untrue statements like jonhny kat made.

East pilots make all kinds of demeaning statements towards the west and then get upset when we return fire. Grow thicker skin or stop the attacks. But I am not going to accept statements like the west is inexperienced without reply.

I understand why you would take offense with that and I have no issue with you taking up for your group. I wish we would all stop that sort of thing.

From your history when you make comments about "not killing pax" I take that as a slap at the east. Maybe you didn't mean it that way, just proud of your history, but with you increasingly angry posts it makes me wonder.
 
So what? The 40 or so furloughs have been offered recall and turned it down repeatedly. I talked to a West guy that told me most if not all had moved on to greener pastures. Why should we continue to fund their medical insurance?

I was furloughed a little under a year and usapa never paid a cent of my medical. Meanwhile friends who were furloughed at Alaska had full coverage from alpa.

The Nic is now officially dead. Or, it will be if the BODs vote for this merger. Just reread paragraph 4 of the MOU. Dead! Gone! If your AOL guys told you something else, they really are as stupid as I thought!

The Merger Committee Chairman told you last week how this was going to go down.

If it was that simple Bill then why didn't USAPA do that? They could've simply added that kind of paragraph in contract negotiations and the Nicolau wouldn't have been an issue.

On the MOU issue?...I'm not at all kidding in wishing all the very best there.....I simply can NOT surrender my earnest reservations. I very much hope to be proved entirely wrong in those, but history and human nature instruct me otherwise. No matter. Heck....Everyone called it as they saw it, so let's all hope for the best here.

It actually looks to me that since the totoal min block hours is combined East and west, the company will be free to downsize PHX as they see fit. We know they want to.

The training dept rumor is 49 E 195 s to be announced soon. 118 seats, and pay 114 an hr. Nice.

I DO hope these people can "take a joke" on that and any/all other, COMPLETELY open-ended issues now. Just for one "protection"issue, for example = "scheduled to be flown"..?...And ANYONE actually ACCEPTED such nonsensical "language"?

Not for my purely selfish interests, for which, well..frankly, none of this much at all matters, but: puhleeeaze let me be proved wrong in any/all concerns here. From a purely personal vantage point?...I'm almost tempted to loudly shout.."Just HOW completely STUPID can supposedly "Professional", even pig sloppers, much less supposed "PILOTS" really BE!?...But again..Sigh!..I DO honestly hope I'm wrong here.

The NAC stated the west number was larger then current hours. Take it up with them.

It has been 6 years since the west has IOU's for 1/3 of the 190's. The company so far has refused to move 190's to the west and pay off those IOU's. Why now pray tell would the company now place 190's on the west?
Why wouldn't they now? They could move anything anywhere now. The 195 order that is supposedly coming will bring 118 seats at $114 an hr capt rate. How are you going to feel with that being the first captain jet you upgrade to? At that pay?
Apparently the American guys are in a full court press for counting furlough time as active to prevent them from being hurt in this merger. I would imagine USAPA would be for it also in return for same in the merger talks. All rumors, but who knows.

No need for court if the arbitrator or APA (to avoid liability) decides to use the Nicolau instead of 2 lists or an invented DOH usapa list.

The "no need for court" argument is about the lamest one you have floated yet. Kind of like "give me your wallet, and nobody gets hurt."

The Nicolau appears to be a non starter with the American guys. They are rumored to be all out maneuvering to protect their furloughed in a potential merger.
 
You fly 24% of your block hours on East routes but just voted to give up your minimum block hours protection in the old an now defunct TA .

Voted overwhelmingly I might add.
