Decertification information!

I predict decertification, followed by the company bringing work in house and mechs who work hard will get a raise, mechs who are lazy will get fired....free market will take over finally!!!!
Hmmm. .being rewarded for actually working and doing a good job, instead of being rewarded just because you've been with a company longer than someone else? Wow ..what an interesting concept! 😀

Oh, come on now, if that were to happen, a bunch of goons and thugs at the higher level couldn't skim off all that dough and tell their members to throw chairs at people and threaten them.

There might actually be (dare I say it?) productivity!

What's wrong with you people?
Your all living in some kind of hypnotized state or something.
Your all very nieve and in for some real company induced whoop ass!

If there is a decertification there will be massive layoffs and all heavy mtc and ramp work the company can and will outsource it.

Look at HP in the mtc dept.

Aeroman and Timco.

Look at US/East. ACTS and ST MAE.

Thats no proof.
It has been like that from Franky days. It was farmed out and then sold all the tools to do heavy checks. AWA to tool back up was not a option. Franky would not let the heavies come back in the (first and only) contract.

Get your facts.

Outsourcing at HP happened before there was a union in MX. Bill Franke terminated over 500 mechanics the week before Christmas. The Teamsters one a ruling that allowed the terminated employees vote in the election the brought in representation. Some of those 500 came back, but a lot had gone elsewhere and were not willing to come back. Outsourcing continued.

Someone from the MTC side should fill in the blanks, my point is that you are using information incorrectly. You're using point C as an example without ever knowing what points A and B were.

Hey Dog Wonder is a good person. BE NICE!

The folks at US East have been crapped on for a long time. They really don't need the HP Rah Rah Bull right now. It's very easy for you to say "Don't like it leave" but a lot of guys have invested an awful lot in US and you need to respect that.
Folks all over aviation have been "crapped on" for a long time. With all due respect to your statement and opinion, I have mine also. There are a few east people that don't do much besides rah rah the IAM and will attempt to verbally beat the west and back and forth. I could go on and on and on.
Both east and west, under all this back and forth fire spitting or whatever you care to call it, do understand each other. Both sides have been put in a precarious situation with this merger. Most would probably not admit that they support and understand each other but....that doesn't mean either side/person has to like the others choice of representation. Thus the IAM vs. IBT.
There are a lot of people on these boards that have invested a lot in their careers. Whether it be US, AWA, NWA or an FBO......it's aviation, it's our careers and for some, it's our passion. So also imagine the person that has invested their entire career at AWA.......does that allow them less respect than someone at US? No, it doesn't.

Maybe it's time to put a huge banner on this site that states "FOR REFERENCE ONLY" or FOR AMUSEMENT PURPOSES ONLY

ONE thing to look at!!!! At this point USAIR east has the tools?????????? All they need is a UNION with a back bone and the trust of its MEMBERS. Do I Need To SAY MORE.

The company did that when your brothers and sisters on the ramp ratified the Final Offer.

But you will never put blame where it belongs.

So the blame belongs on the members when the leaders offered no strategy?

What was the IAM telling their members? Did they say reject it and this is what we will do? No, they did nothing. In fact when Maint rejected the first round of concessions the IAM made them vote again.

The leadership is always at fault when there is failure-thats one of the things that leaders must accept. If they dont want the responsiblity of leading then dont take the position. Thats one of the problems with many unions today, their leaders want the pay and perks by they dont want the responsiblity of the job. If workers living standards go down its the leaders fault-period.

Wait a minute are you referring to that vote that was stacked by the IAM? Several of your members went to cast their ballots and were told they already voted.

Time to scrape off your plates, wash em off,and start being a part of what YOU prefer to have on there!

VOTE TWU/IBT!

Anyone supporting the TWU shouldnt say anything about stacked votes.Talk about glass houses!

I feel that no matter what happens we will see little changes to the way MX if performed. We will most likely go under the EAsts MX program or something close to it.

If we have no contract the company have the places to perform heavy check and also has the flexablity to send elsewhere if we have more checks than lines. Some things will come back because now it can be done in house at a lower cost due to the no contract restrictions.
