Ticket counter and ramp leads/managers are being told their jobs will be eliminated.
When they were promoted they signed a document allowing the company to let them go and not put them back into an agents role and that is what they are electing to do. It is happening here in Boston and FA's who didn't want a union are calling me to send them the form to get duplicate instructions so they can vote for the union.

What happened to no furloughs Cheif Dick?

Wow, guess King Dick can do that since there are no unions.

Stealland says trust me to NW employees, guess we need to trust that Dick will level the playing fields as NW
is running pretty lean already. Guess that will put a lot of union folk in a better position on the seniority lists. jmo 😛h34r:

Yankeestu, do you know what airports are being effected?

Amazing. This is what I was fearing. Nordstroms in Seattle went through this scenerio: Company promises the world ... better bennies ect. and went on this campaign they really didn't need a union. So the vote went out and they voted out union representation. Immediately afterwards they took the pay raises away and numerous benefits. This happened in the early '90's and you can't really find any articles on this.
I think "Dick" was playing good cop while Dougie was playing bad cop. Neither is really great. People always play up how great Dick is but he's the same. I overheard some VP (was he drunk?) saying how Dick is just as bad (as DOUG)since he took the bonuses that was owed to the leaving CEO who symbolicly gave it up.
With NW managers strategicly placed within the realms of Delta I'm sure they will be starting an extermination campaign to figure out how else to get rid of these cockroach employees.
"Let's discuss how you feel..... "

Wow!

Hey Cooper? I wonder if these folks are worried about DOH?

Is this your sense of humor?

I received this information from a FA who's husband is a ramp agent and her neighbor of 23 years is going to be eliminated.

When you become management you would normally have to relinquish your representation. So DOH would be considered if several people in the same position were to be eliminated.

If anyone else can support this information it certainly would be helpful. I know we have some ramp agents around the system on here.

I don't see why DAL would let people go during the heavy summer schedule.
DAL did say if they didn't get enough people to accept the early out they would reduce merit employees as they see fit.
Even if you have an all union shop, merit (non cba - management type) folks ,can't automaticly bump out the workers on the front line.In most cases
Like you said they signed a letter.

If I understand this correctly these are management people and would not be covered under any union contract. In that case merit would be the decision maker not DOH. This is different issue and I believe that this could be included in the "non-frontline" positions that have already been announced but I am not sure.
