Create a new name to reflect a "new" beginning. I absolutely HATE, HATE, HATE..........DELTA. And that name makes my A$$ clench.

I'd hate to see the USAIRWAYS name disappear like Eastern, Pan Am & TWA have but maybe it's time to really start over.

Yes, that is why Parker concluded it is more widely recognized and would be the name of the new company. If the Delta name "sucks" that doesn't say a whole lot for US does it? :down:

If starting from scratch - US Airways would be a better name. Personally, I like the name and even like the stylized flag logo.

However, despite their recent operational decline and near-criminal mismanagement over the past few years, Delta is still the more widely recognized name and probably has a better image due to decades of high quality service. So, IMHO, the Delta name makes the most sense going forward.
