Cozy Suite has designs on comfort for global customers in coach class

As we continue our international expansion, we’re looking for ways to give our coach customers more space and comfort on longer flights.
Tuesday, we announced a deal with Thompson Solutions of Northern Ireland to develop a new economy class seat design called the Cozy Suite. The revolutionary seat design increases armrest space, offers a contoured shoulder area for better sleeping and gives customers up to 5 inches more knee space compared to standard seating designs of the same pitch. The seat bottom also tips back when not occupied, which enhances getting to and from window seats.
We plan to introduce the seat design on our Boeing 767ER and 777 fleets in 2010, based on regulatory agency approval. We also will be the world launch customer for the seat and will have exclusive rights in North America.

In addition, we announced earlier this year plans to install Thompson’s Vantage full-flat bed seat in BusinessElite class on our B767-400 fleet next year.
