Hey DFWFSC,

Hear there was a "rumor" going around on the ramp today that an offer had been submitted by
the company. Any truth to it?

I believe they are suppose to resume negotiations tomorrow.

An offer by the company? Okay, take previous 'offer', remove 3.5 and 5% 'payments', shuffle some numbers around and voila! a 'new' offer from the company.

The company wants to get the concession extension locked in while oil is falling and before it falls any lower.

Exactly!!!!!!! They want a deal done because with layoffs and service cuts and facility closures, couple with the falling price of fuel, there will be profits by next year...

So once our company union agrees to the contract with the blessing of Tulsa,,,,we can't complain when the company makes money and the executives prosper more and more...

What would a fleet service contract have to do with Tulsa? Different title group.

I hope to god your just baiting here, because if your not the last six years of debating AMFA vs TWU was for nothing and you really don't get it!!!!

Of course I'm baiting. Why you continue to let the ramp hitch their wagon to your contract is beyond me.

Separate title groups should be negotiating separate agreements. If the dispatchers and stores manage to come to a decent agreement, the ramp shouldn't be able to screw it up for them. Likewise in reverse. The ramp shouldn't get the halo effect from a good contract.

Damn rampers!

The hitch continues because AA/TWU and the NMB used lies/cheats/steals to keep a representation election from taking place.

Never will I accept that the Federal Government of the United States of America prevented a democratic vote for representation when the numbers were so close. You would think we are more paying taxes to a Communist form of Government rather than democracy of freedom.

Why you continue to blame us for the hitch is beyond me. You know exactly what took place in the NMB investigation.

I totally agree. I think seperate contracts would be the best for both. I for one do not agree with most of the views of the AMT's, and likewise they do not agree with FSC's. I for one, would like to see a contract that is fair, but I also know what reality is. And I do not want everything back, because that is just unrealistic. Part now and work for more in two years. That is realistic.
