Do You Want To Re- Elect Bush For Presendent!

well i read about it right here...and i'm sure you won't agree....

An interesting line in the editorial you cited:
The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Bush v Gore may not have been a model of jurisprudence

My point wasnt about who won or lost the election. It was about the fact that the Federal government steped on Floridas rights. While the article makes some good points about the former, it is surly laking in its addressing of the latter.

States rights are usually a big conservative isse.Maybe States rights arent an issue for you dell.

But if they are, I recommend going and reading the judges opinions, including the descenters. Then once you have an informed opinon, we can have a real debate.
duh..

ok,but what about all the partisan recounts where gore lost forever?

I honestly do not care, It has nothing to do with my point. For the record, I think Bush would have won even if the Supreme Court handed down the "proper" decision. The only way Gore could have won was a statewide recount, which was never going to happen.

So getting past that, what has the republican party done for you?

well we seem to semi-agree somewhat...i thought i felt the ground quake.
repub's for me? well i don't agree with some things they do...but i find the lengths the dems are going to get their power back somewhat nauseating.
kennedy's an ####.....helping out al-qaeida with his speeches on cnn....
nit picking crap over iraq on the media everyday....the terrorists watch cnn and think we are weak...this crap has to stop in the media.
soldiers in iraq? i do not like it...but i'd rather take the fight to them in their front yard.
iraq is a terrorist magnet...terrorists want to kill americans so bad.....let them come to iraq to meet allah.do not let them do it on our soil.
we pull out i suppose sometime soon while going to wal-mart the exploding palestinians will start to make there mark here in the good 'ol usa.
no sir i do not want young americans dying in some far away land......but if they want to fight us,i and most of the rest would rather it be this way.
explode a few arabs at the local mall and see how public sentiment goes.
take it easy my fellow american....
havea nice day.

Cant really answer the question, can you? I already know how you feel about the dems.

I respect your opinion of kennedy, but I fail to see how disagreeing over the war in Iraq helps al-qaeida out in any way.I doubt al-qaeida really care about the US media.Or watch it for that matter(cnn in a cave?).As for the "this crap has to stop in the media" statment. What do you suggest we do,kill free speech? What dont you like about the news?If you dont want to know whats going on change the channel, or watch FOX.

I guess Iraq could be thought of as Saudi Arabias front yard, since the terroroist that attacked us were almost all saudis. And Saudi Arabia is next to Iraq. I dont think the war in Iraq has any affect on preventing a domestic terorist attack. As for preventing an attack in the US, I have to give Bush and our security agencies a lot of credit. They seem to be doing a very good job.Though I worry about how well our first responders will be equiped if an attack does occur.

we pull out i suppose sometime soon while going to wal-mart the exploding palestinians will start to make there mark here in the good 'ol usa.

We arent going to pull out. Its not an issue anymore.I dont think the palestinians will ever make thier mark over here. thier beef is with Isreal. Also, unlike al-qaeida, they have something to loose.Thier homes.Getting the US involed militarily in thier dispute would not be in thier best interests.

It's called inflation. How much was a loaf of bread or milk or better yet a house in 1999 verses now.

FTR:adjusted for inflation, gas is as high as it has ever been except for during the OPEC embargo, and the spike during the first gulf war.Maybe not high enough to kill the economy, but enough to hurt a few legacy airlines.

I dont know how much inflation has affected the price of a loaf of bread, but the cost of housing has beat inflation big time.It really wouldnt be an acurate comparison.

I think we need to get one thing clear.

Our fight against terrorism was and is against al-Qaeida and OBL and not against every one who is a muslim or of arab decent.

Before we invaded Iraq, they were not a threat to the US or even any of their neighbors. They were a threat to them self. After the invasion the boarders were not secured and all the scum of terrorist had free access to Iraq and the people and they are turning them against us and the rest of the world. No one in our government ever could and had proven that Sadam was linked to any terrorist activities against the US. I am not saying that he was a saint but all the crimes he was committing at this time were against his own people.

Now that we have enabled the terrorist to invade Iraq and make out of Iraqi’s terrorist we are paying the price with the lives of our troops. We should have concentrated on the terrorists and let Iraq be handled at a later point. We opened Pandora’s box in Iraq. Instead of going after Sadam we should have concentrated going after OBL. We left him breathing room and look what is happening. He is as active as before and we are letting him do it because we are to occupied with what is happening in Iraq. Every nation that ever had fought a two and more front war lost at the end (France, Germany, Japan, Roman Empire, Ottoman Empire etc. etc. etc.). Now we are fighting the same kind of war and unnecessarily.

And in regard to the Palestinians, they are fighting with Israel. That is their fight and we should not take any side. We should be a fair referee and not an active endorser of Israel. Just imagine that all the Hispanic people in the US would start announcing that the areas they live in are part of Mexico and Canada would say OK US you have no rights and Mexico will get all that territory. Would you like it? ……. I don’t think so. You would tell Canada to go and fly a kite and fight for your land.

And by the way, Allah or Yahweh is the same name for God. Christian Arabs also pray to Allah.

Just imagine that all the Hispanic people in the US would start announcing that the areas they live in are part of Mexico and Canada would say OK US you have no rights and Mexico will get all that territory.
better get a news update...theres one small peice of land the mexicans are demanding.....and its here in the good ol USA.
Now that we have enabled the terrorist to invade Iraq and make out of Iraqi’s terrorist we are paying the price with the lives of our troops.
EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN HOUSE......(don rumsfield)
And in regard to the Palestinians, they are fighting with Israel.
yes you are right however the exploding arab has went off and is seen in iraq.....we stop these people here rather than down at the local theatre near you.
don't you think for one moment they have not addressed this idea and are not willing to try it out someday soon.

Interesting stuff:

Quote from the article:
" The frequency of Americans' misperceptions varies significantly depending on their source of news. The percentage of respondents who had at least one or more of the three misperceptions listed above is shown below.

Sources: FOX CBS ABC NBC CNN Print NPR/PBS

None of the 3: 20% 30% 39% 45% 45% 53% 77%

1 or more
misperceptions: 80 71 61 55 55 47 23
"
So Dell, What network do you watch?

I find that this site is much better, and actually fair and balaced. Unlike all the Pundit/Entertainers that some people consider real journalists.

The best you have done is a link to hannity.com.

FTR: I listen to hannity every day during my commute home from work. And even though he is a total shill for the republican party, he does have the balls to have real debates with inteligent liberals on his show, unlike rush.

Anyone watch "24" last night? Interesting, a little subliminal was going on. The "bad" guy just happened to have campaign posters up that were EXACTLY John Kerry's posters except they had this bad guy's name (which was very close to John Kerry) Are people really THAT stupid? Geez, I sure hope not.
