Is Irish

''For those of us who are fortunate to share an Irish ancestry, we take great pride in the contributions that Irish-Americans …" (Congressional Record, March 18, 1986).

"As some of you may know, I am part-English and part-Irish. And when my Kerry ancestors first came over to Massachusetts from the old country to find work in the New World, it was my English ancestors who refused to hire them."

Ain't Irish

Kerry was accused of using such comments to make his Irish-American constituents think he is one of them when, in fact, he isn't. His grandparents were Jewish who changed their names.
Kerry now claims he never said it.
flip-flop man
Only 2 of 4 grandparents were JEWISH. Or is it immposible to be JEWISH and IRISH and AMERICAN at the same time?

Also, It was NORMAL in 1902 for immigrants to change thier names.

LMFAO at that sentrido, your really grasping hard ! oh lets see now secretary of state COLIN POWELL is black, national security adviser CONDOLEZZA RICE is black, gw bush recieved the largest hispanic vote than any other candidate but he's a racist? spin it like a good liberal does!!!!!!!
It's interesting that Republicans appointed the first woman to the Supreme Court (O'Connor appt by Reagan), the first black as National Security Advisor (Powell appt by Bush 41), first black female National Security Advisor (Rice by GWB), first black Supreme Court Justice (Thomas appt by Bush 41), and first black Secretary of State (Powell appt by GWB). There are no doubt other firsts which just go to prove that the Dems promise much but deliver little, while the Republicans, who are constantly branded as racists by the class warfare Dems, are the ones who actually put equal opportunity into action.

You're missing the point 'Einstein'; I'm not offended - I think you're hilarious! It's like having a mentally challenged parrot around! Non-thinking neo-cons like yourself help the Democrats by showing the true paranoid nature of the Bush Leaguers, why would we want to stop that?

Keep up the good work for Kerry!!!
NO YOUR MISSING THE POINT !......if you dont wish to read something then scroll on by, but you will not dictate what i or anyother wish to post...PERIOD!!!!!! I COULD CARE LESS WHO YOU VOTE FOR, you see you must be the mentally challenged and feel very inferior to constantly ridicule someone who disagrees with your ideas  NOW GO TELL YOUR WIFE WHAT CLOTHES SHE MAY WEAR IN PUBLIC

OBTW kerry is doing a fine job destroying his credibility every time he opens his pie hole 😱 but i will continue to help him every chance i get!

Raising Taxes during
Economic Downturn - Against

September 2001: Said Taxes Should Not Rise In Economic Downturn. “The first priority is the economy of our nation. And when you have a downturn in the economy, the last thing you do is raise taxes or cut spending. We shouldn’t do either. We need to maintain a course that hopefully will stimulate the economy. … No, we should not raise taxes, but we have to put everything on the table to take a look at why we have this structural problem today. … [Y]ou don’t want to raise taxes.â€￾ (NBC’s “Meet The Press,â€￾ 9/2/01)

We Should “Absolutely Not Raise Taxes.â€￾ “Well, I think it’s very clear what I favor because we voted for it early in the spring, which was the Democratic budget alternative that had triggers in it where you didn’t wind up spending money you don’t have. It had a smaller tax cut but more tax cut for a stimulus, which is what we need. So you ask me, what do we need now? Yes, we need additional stimulus. We should absolutely not raise taxes. We should not cut spending. What we need to do is drive the economy of this country. The economy is the number one issue. It is the most important thing we should focus on.â€￾ (CNN’s “Evans, Novak, Hunt & Shields,â€￾ 9/8/01)

April 2002: Said He Wanted Larger Tax Cut And Was “Not In Favor Ofâ€￾ Repeal. CNN’s TUCKER CARLSON: “Senator Kerry … [many Democrats] [g]et a lot of political mileage out of criticizing [President Bush’s tax cut], but nobody has the courage to say repeal it. Are you for repealing it?â€￾ KERRY: “It’s not a question of courage. … And it’s not an issue right now. We passed appropriately a tax cut as a stimulus, some $40 billion. Many of us thought it should have even maybe been a little bit larger this last year … [T]he next tax cut doesn’t take effect until 2004. If we can grow the economy enough between now and then, if we have sensible policies in place and make good choices, who knows what our choices will be. So it’s simply not a ripe issue right now. And I’m not in favor of turning around today and repealing it.â€￾ (CNN’s “Crossfire,â€￾ 4/16/02)

Raising Taxes during economic downturn - for

December 2002: Flip-Flopped, Would Keep Tax Cuts From Taking Effect. NBC’s TIM RUSSERT: “Senator … should we freeze or roll back the Bush tax cut?â€￾ KERRY: “Well, I wouldn’t take away from people who’ve already been given their tax cut … What I would not do is give any new Bush tax cuts.â€￾ … RUSSERT: “So the tax cut that’s scheduled to be implemented in the coming years …â€￾ KERRY: “No new tax cut under the Bush plan. … It doesn’t make economic sense.â€￾ … RUSSERT: “Now, this is a change …â€￾ (NBC’s “Meet The Press,â€￾ 12/1/02)

Called For Freeze Of Bush Tax Cuts In Favor Of Year-Long Suspension Of Payroll Taxes On First $10,000 Of Personal Income. “Kerry said Bush’s tax cuts have mainly benefited the rich while doing little for the economy. Kerry is proposing to halt Bush’s additional tax cuts and instead impose a yearlong suspension of payroll taxes on the first $10,000 of income to help the poor and middle class.â€￾ (Tyler Bridges, “Kerry Visits Miami To Start Raising Funds,â€￾ The Miami Herald, 12/7/02)

Bush and friends are also doing a fair job of opening their collective pieholes (Bush actually needs Cheny present at times to help him open his piehole). Iraq is not a quagmire, but we'll just be there for a long time. Bush campaign motto...Ready...FIRE...aim. Do we really want that for another 4 years?

And this is why we're going to have nothing but negative campaigning. Neither candidate is worthy of the residence on Pennsylvania Avenue. And everyone but the yellow and blue dogs can see that clearly. It's one of the reasons this thread is so absurd.

Thinking voters will be holding their noses when they vote in November.

I'll just let the Liar in Chief do his own talking:
