Do You Want To Re- Elect Bush For Presendent!

So let me get this straight...this old country bumpkin is a little confused. To this old bumpkin, any country offering amnesty to terrorists....ANY terrorists...comes across as being "against us". Does this administration somehow interpret that action as being "with us"? Would you be so kind as to fill in the poor ignorant fool as to how this is so? And you're right, my president (unfortunatly, he is my president) has said "you're either with us or against us". Yet we haven't sent one troop over to Saudi Arabia to punish those who would be willing to provide amnesty to any terrorist who came forward. I mean, we attacked a country without any proven connection to Al Queda, only assurances that "we knew" (and they have yet to prove outside of some "six degrees of separation" scenario.) Here we have a country saying "Come to us within the next 30 days and all is forgiven". And we do nothing.

So please, instead of posting pictures of yourself with your head up your a$$, and insults to my intelligence, why not help out your fellow American citizen (and yes, those of us who oppose Bush and his policies are still Americans) and explain how our inaction towards a country that offers amnesty to admitted terrorists is any different from our attacking a country that we believed had terrorist connections.

Thanks in advance for your "help".
Are there terrorists in Saudi Arabia?? You bet!!! The Saudis' providing amnesty to them?????? No, this is where your play on words is totally incorrect. In the past, have they tolerated them??, tried to ignore them thinking they would go away?? They most certainly have. But if you have been paying attention, the Saudis' have cracked down on the networks of islamic radicals operating from that country. And, why do you think this is so? Because all of the sudden, they just felt they had to? No, my friend. It is because of behind the scenes diplomacy and arm twisting that goes on every day, something that your not going to hear on your local, nightly news cast!!! Their are terrorists operating across the globe, and the President, and most in this administration have repeatedly and consistently stated that this was going to be a LONG, tough fight. As far as your statement regarding that we attacked a country(Iraq) without any proven connection to Al Quaida, I think you may want to do just a LITTLE more research. Recent developments, and news coming out over the last several days, appears to shoot your thinking squarely in the a##. Remember, there are more varied news outlets that report what is ACTUALLY going on. You need to turn off Dan Blather, and research to find the truth Good Day, KC

So...can you explain to me what the gist of this article is, other than it's that "left wing liberal media CNN" reporting the story. Comments please.

FWIW - I don't watch Rather, Jennings or Brokow. Nor do I use Fox news as my sole source of "news".

As a Judeo-Christian who has an aversion to religion, and who is an American as good as or better than any mousse-haired, Bible-touting, apartheid-promoting evangelist on any UHF television station you can name, I must protest.

Where is it written that if you don’t like religion you are somehow disqualified from being a legitimate American? What was Mark Twain, a Russian? When did it become un-American to have opinions about the origin and meaning of the universe that come from sources other than the body of dogma of organizations approved by the federal government as certifiably Judeo-Christian? Is it American to believe that God ordered Tribe X to abjure port, or that he caused Leader Y to be born to a virgin, why is it suddenly un-American to doubt the prime mover of this unimaginably vast universe of quintillions of solar systems would likely be obsessed with questions involving the dietary and biosexual behavior of a few thousand bipeds inhabiting a small part of a speck of dust orbiting a third-rate star in an obscure spiral arm of one of millions of more or less identical galaxies?

June 30, 2004 — Paula Jones, the former Arkansas state employee who launched a sexual harassment suit against then-President Bill Clinton, tells ABC News she was the first step in an effort by anti-Clinton forces that eventually led to his impeachment.

Hillary Rodham Clinton famously blamed the scandals that led to her husband's impeachment on a "vast right-wing conspiracy." Jones told ABC News Primetime's Cynthia McFadden: "I agree that I was a small little entity in this big vast whatever-you-want-to-call-it that got erected."

She continued, "It started with me — and they did use me for their own agendas."

Isnt It comforting to know that there are those in our own contry that will do anything to highjack democracy.

Zonecontroller, I hate to tell you this, but you spelled president wrong. Must mean that instead of saying that you wanted George W. Bush "deleted"(weird term), that you actually maent that you wanted him to stay in office 4 more years or you thought that Bush was not a president, but a present, because you did not want to give Bush away which meant you wanted Bush in office for four more years. Either way, it sounds like you want George W. Bush to be president for four more years, but you do not want him to be the present you give away this Christmas. Anyway, whatever the case you don't want Kerry to be the president just like me! It is important that John Kerry does not get elected this year becaus this next term's president will be able to appoint some new Supreme Court Memers for life. If Kerry gets elected, he will stick some Socialists in those Sumpreme Court seats which will raise taxes, make the deficit bigger, and take away our freedoms, but if Bush gets elected he will probably(most likely) put some republicans in those seats who will lower taxes which will improve the economy.
The recession that we are presently recovering from was caused by the corupt and evil Clinton Administration's tax hikes, ect., not by the Bush Administration, though Bush gets the blame.

I agree, if you want to know what is going on, do not, I repeat do not watch CBS and Dan Rather. In place of watching CBS, MSNBC, or CNN, watch FOX News" The Network America Trusts" .

Since when has the Supreme Court had the power to raise taxes? As far as taking away freedoms, do a google search on "Patriot Act".

Patriot Act run amok. A friend of mine at Pitt sent me this : Pitt professor indicted on fraud charge
Wednesday, June 30, 2004
By Joe Fahy, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Following a terrorism investigation that sparked an outcry in the world art community, a federal grand jury has indicted a University of Pittsburgh genetics professor and a former art professor at Carnegie Mellon University on fraud charges related to the procurement of two biological materials.

Steven Kurtz, a professor at State University of New York at Buffalo who taught in Carnegie Mellon's art program from 1995 to 2002, and Robert Ferrell, chairman of the human genetics department at Pitt's Graduate School of Public Health, were named in a four-count indictment charging them with mail fraud and wire fraud, U.S. Attorney Michael Battle said yesterday in Buffalo.

The indictment alleges that from about December 2003 to May, Ferrell and Kurtz committed fraud by obtaining two bacteria, serratia marcescens and bacillus atrophaeus, from a biological supply company, knowing that Kurtz could not legally obtain the materials.

At Kurtz's request, Ferrell directed that the materials be ordered from the company, using a Pitt account, according to the indictment. They were sent to Pitt's human genetics laboratory and Ferrell then mailed them to the home of his friend, Kurtz, in Buffalo.

Kurtz's colleagues said he intended to use the materials in an art project. He is a founding member of the Critical Art Ensemble, which has used human DNA and other biological materials to draw attention to social issues, such as genetically altered foods.

Ferrell's attorney, Efrem Grail, said he was "surprised and extremely disappointed" by the indictment. "Dr. Ferrell is a wonderful academic and an honest man who would never do anything he knew to be wrong," Grail said.

Pitt spokesman Robert Hill called Ferrell a "distinguished scientist," adding: "We at Pitt are hoping for a swift and favorable resolution."

Kurtz's attorney, Paul Cambria Jr., called the indictment "a stretch. There's no evidence of any criminal intent."
SUNY Buffalo, in a statement yesterday, said it would review the charges before considering any action.
Dr. Bruce Dixon, director of the Allegheny County Health Department, said the biological materials named in the indictment are bacteria that pose "a low risk for any human infection."

The federal investigation began last month after Kurtz called 911 to report the death of his wife, Hope, in their home. Firefighters who responded noticed the biological materials and notified Buffalo police, who contacted a Joint Terrorism Task Force. The task force spent two days removing materials from the home.

Outraged by the investigation, artists and academics held rallies in Buffalo; Vienna, Austria; Amsterdam, Netherlands; and Berkeley, Calif.

Are there ANY senators or congress critters with S by their name?

No.

Governors?

No.

Federal judges?

To the best of my knowledge, no.

Do ANY socialist entities own the media?

No, transnational corporations (thus, for the simple-minded, implying capitalists) do.

Yep, looks like we're ass-deep in and about to be overrun by commie pinko's!

And if the Socialists are so hot for Kerry, please explain

There actually is one member of the House of Representative who is a self-declared socialist, Bernard Sanders, representing the state of Vermont. He is the only independent member of the House. Of course, some on the left question his credentials as a socialist

"All politics is local": big city mayors count. Let's not forget Mayor Daniel Hoan of Milwaukee:

Daniel Webster Hoan was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1881. He left school early but he studied at evening classes and in 1908 qualified as a lawyer.

A member of the Socialist Party, Hoan moved to Milwaukee where he worked closely with Victor Berger, the editor of the radical newspaper, Milwaukee Leader, in trying to persuade the city to adopt radical reforms. This included municipal ownership of utilities, urban renewal programs and free legal, medical and educational services.

In 1910 Emil Seidel was elected mayor of Milwaukee and became the first socialist leader of a major city in the United States. The following year Hoan became Milwaukee's city attorney and over the next six years he clamped down on the corruption of public officials. In 1917 Hoan was elected as mayor of Milwaukee. Unlike many members of the Socialist Party, Hoan supported United States entry into the First World War.

Hoan remained mayor for twenty-four years, the longest continuous Socialist administration in United States history. He brought in a large number of progressive reforms including the country's first public housing project, Garden Homes, started in 1923. Hoan also led the successful drive towards municipal ownership of the stone quarry, street lighting, sewage disposal and water purification.

Hoan developed a reputation for honest and efficient government. In 1999, Melvin Holli, the author of The American Mayor, and a group of experts on local government, voted Hoan as the eighth best mayor in United States history. Holli wrote: "Although this self-identified socialist had difficulty pushing progressive legislation through a nonpartisan city council, he experimented with the municipal marketing of food, backed city-built housing, and in providing public markets, city harbor improvements, and purging graft from Milwaukee politics. Perhaps Hoan's most important legacy was cleaning up the free-and-easy corruption that prevailed before he took office."
