October DOt results are out.

On time performance was 87.5 percent...a new record for October and 3rd place in the industry.

Baggage handling was also a record low at 3.08 for 6th place.

Customer complaints was the lowest level in almost 2 years at 1.57 but still 10th place.

thank you very much!

will it show up in grd svcs 12/19 pay?

Way to go Tempe!!! We're still LAST when it comes to customer service!!!

US Airways management and it's customer (and employee) unfriendly policies have solidified our place as the most hated airline around!!

In October, US Airways again recieved the MOST number of complaints received by the DOT from passengers. It was, in fact, TWICE the average number of complaints received by the 19 airlines included!!

THE GUYS AND GALS IN THE SANDCASTLE ARE OUT-DOING THEMSELVES!! Perhaps they should all get bonuses from the extra money were making selling cokes and water!!!

THEY JUST DON'T GET IT--CUSTOMER SERVICE MATTERS

Added to the fact that planes are on the ground due to the padded flight time schedule to make DOT. Planes on the ground don't make money

Complaints are MUCH improved over October, 2007, though, which surprises me, since we are so "fee happy" now, and according to DP, that's why complaints are so out of control. Honestly, I expected much worse.

And, with regards to padding, are we padding a lot more than other airlines?

Otherwise, nice job with the bags and OT... result appear to be the best since the merger was announced.... keep up the improvements!

US had been, but in the earnings conference call Isom said that the extra pad was starting to be removed.

Ya have to remember that there are ways to pad without increasing block time, and even with block time the increase would normally be on the order of 1-3 minutes since the vast majority of flights that are DOT definition late arrive only 1-3 minutes past A+14. That's small enough to be lost in the "noise" of different A/C types, time of day, scheduling relative to another airline's hub rushes at that airline's hub, routing, etc when you try to compare nothing but airline X's scheduled block time relative to US.

US Airways gets mixed marks in survey

Phoenix Business Journal - by Mike Sunnucks

US Airways Group Inc. ranked worst among the top U.S. airlines in terms of consumer complaints in October, but seventh-best for on-time service and eighth-best for baggage handling, according to numbers released Wednesday by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The USDOT said Tempe-based US Airways had 1.57 complaints for every 100,000 passenger trips, placing it last among the 19 top U.S. airlines. The industry average was 0.82 complaints per 100,000.

Why were complaints higher before the extra fees wee added?

Is it possible DP was spinning?

Spinning?

Res migration...
OT dismal...
Bags dismal...

All of those have improved; now people are complaining about the fees.

Anyway, nice job front line emps.....

Congratulations to us all ! once again we notch another victory !!

and remember my fellow co workers , the harder we all work , the longer we all stay employed 😉

We can fix that. I say, Boeings at .72 and AB at .74. and, you know, climate change has introduced a constant set of turbulent leg segments. Just speculating.

If the CEO can manipulate "times" to earn his way out of line bonus, then the pilots should be able to do something similar. Just sayin'.

actually, planes on the ground, via padding, were only there to "justify" the padded schedule, guaranteeing the "bonus".

Mr. M.73 or less, for the duration.
