I thought Mr. Parker did a good job of communicating with the group. Although it was a canned presentation it was not too hard to understand. Sometimes all the facts and details distract from the message in such a short time frame.
The biggest thing I found in Mr. Parker was hope. Hope for a change, a good change. And most importantly, engagement in that change. Not a "my way or the highway" type of situation. Of course, time will tell. And after all we've been through, about the only thing I have left to donate is some time.
I was dissapointed at how he felt about heavy maintenance. But I do get the feeling that having the ability to farm it out as needed doesn't equate to wholesale slaughter. At least from him, now when the bean counters get ahold of it it would be another story. Again, there's that middle level of management that can destroy any good operation without even knowing it. I must add that the folks he brought with him did seem genuine and approachable, which is refreshing.
