East/West question...

What exatly is the problem with East/West? I hear employees saying East gets profit-sharing, but West doesn't etc...i thought the merger between America West/USair had largely been completed, at least as far as labor goes. And why would Doogie allow East (US Air) to get something he wouldn't give to West (America West) Were these not his very own employees that worked for him with America West?

Whats Happening? What EVERY Merger/Process Walk's thru is THE TRANSITION Process,Where The Negotiation Committee Bargains for the Process of Combining two Separate Contract's & Making them One. Just like your Little PAN AM Process. 🙂

Welcome to the "Big Picture". That question has been debated, hashed, re-hashed, beaten to death, and just plain talked out. The merger between hp/us is nowhere near complete. That is what DP wants everyone to believe. One thing is certainly clear, DP's loyalty is 100% relegated to the shareholders. The employees are treated as if we were a liability to be dealt with in the most cost effective way. 🙁

East and West are currently under different contracts. Some of the East contracts had profit sharing as part of their agreement, whereas the West didn't... 🙄
