I was informed today that on May 24th, 2005 at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida there will be renaming ceremony changing their Aviation Maint. Science Department to the Charles E. Taylor Department of Aviation Maintenance Science!
This has been a long adventure for those at Embry-Riddle and people outside of the University to accomplish this event. There will be a bar-b-que in the day time for the students and at night there will be a dinner by invitation only. They will unveil a beautiful bronze bust of Charles E. Taylor made by the Artist Virginia Hess. Charles Taylor, "Charlie's" great grandson will attend as well as Howard DuFour, author of the book on Charlie.
It is great to see well earned recognition being given to the man history, and our nation, almost forgot. If there are any questions about the Embry-Riddle event send me a PM.
