Employee Bus Rant

One of the problems in CLT is shift change. People will crowd around the door and it makes it difficult for the people to get off the bus. Most of the time its not airline personal its the cleaners or the other airport people. The wait time for a bus is usually no more than 5 to 10 minutes. There have been a few exchanges of words because a few people think they don't have to wait. You might have 50 people waiting and then some a$$holes will step into the road to get in front of the people that have been waiting for the bus.

You should send that picture to the people in Tempe so that if you are on the Hub again they can use that picture instead of your mug shot!

Well that would be something to write about in AboutUS wouldn't it ? I think they should have used this one instead of my ugly mug shot . A big fat picture of my big fat head in the very last issue of 2007. No chance for redemption. I need to lose weight in 08.

Maybe I can call Jenny.

*sigh*

Oh I KNOW!! Haven't they heard of Bus Stop Seniority!!! GOSH!!!

You know, my coworker and I make a game out of it. We pretend the bus is the A330 and we wait until the bus comes up and there's 200 people outside. We lurk behind the bushes and then as soon as it pulls up and pulls past everyone (like it always does) and the crowd all clusters to the middle door....we dart through the bushes toward the front door and grab the first two seats on the bus. Then we triumphantly exclaim "SLEEPER SEATS!!" and whoever got the second seat , we tell them they are envoy, and then we sneer at all those lower class people back in coach.

It's fun to play airline with the bus, but it is never REALLY like the real thing because it's less bumpy and we actually get there. And we dont have to wait three hours for a part from Raleigh. (which is where the other buses are based) I'm not talking about my airline though. I promise. That would violate the ethics policy. In fact maybe I should move that part to another thread. In fact, I made it all up for entertainment purposes.

It's really hot in here.

We affectionately refer to the Employee Bus Experience in CLT as the Armpit and A-hole express. Because if you're lucky enough to get a seat, you're going to either have to smell the sweaty A or AH of some ramper who has been busting his tail all day outside. Summer months are especially bad.

Winter is bad too because when someone...um..passes gas on the bus, the smell lingers a lot longer.

It's misery. It's MISErRYYYYYY
Sorry about that Shannon my deoderant usually dies about lunch time as far as the passing gas goes that is just plain rude. Some people have no manners. Common courtesy doesn't apply to some people.

It's okay. If you weren't stinky, you wouldn't be so chiseled and manly. Rawwwrrrrr!!!

Riding the bus is a personal conflict with me I can't sit while a lady has to stand but then again I don't want to have to stand and grap a hand rail and subject someone to effect of me having sweated all day. Kinda of between a rock and a hard place.

LOL...how valiant of you, see, we only dart out of the bushes at mach-1 because no one men ever let us have their seat and I'm not even tall enough to hold the handrails.

It's really hard being half oompa - loompa

I take it only FA's have nice smelling orifaces?
Mr. Blockholder States ---------> If you're breath stinks, the PAX wont argue with U.

Shh...don't tell them our Oompa Loompa secrets Shannon!

Guys...Unless you've rode the employee bus in ORD or IAD...I'd say your complaints are invalid 🙂

I'd take the ORD set-up any day... you don't have to go through security.
