Do you regularly inoculate yourself against the cold, hard truth, Bears, because that is all I have presented here – and for the 9 years on this board?
Being likeable and accurate are two different things.
Since you and I have “run into each other in the halls” of this forum for about 9 years now, please let me know what major strategic twists and turns I have missed.
While K*88 and others may pine about the past when they had a say at the table of how NW ran its business WRT labor and hope for a return of those days, the vast majority of current DL employees will opt for the labor arrangement that has resulted in the greatest financial benefits for them; most people participate in the labor market seeking the greatest financial benefits and focus their pursuit of ideologies elsewhere, such as in the political realm.
Can you – or anyone since this is an open forum – tell me when ANY non-pilot labor forum (and probably those too) obtained a double digit compensation increase for its employees in two consecutive years?
I have a feeling that question like so many others I have posed with go unanswered because “NONE” is the cold, hard truth. CHT. It would sure make some great conversation on here IF someone were able to find something though (as they all scurry to look through every imaginable historical labor agreement in the airline industry).
And the cold, hard truth is that DL is running one of the best businesses the airline industry has seen in decades and DL employees are succeeding because of the success of the company - just like all those unionized workers at WN have done for years.
But since DL’s model is largely non-union, no one here would dare acknowledge the company can actually do something that would benefit employees without a labor union.
BTW, since you mentioned Him, the Second Coming of Christ is more certain than your desired return of Crandall.
