Executive Order

How about we take a step back and take a breath.

I think banning anything is a bad idea except for the extremes such as RPG's, mines... stuff like that. Banning an assault weapon or other similar weapons is not going to solve anything. The people who get illegal weapons will be able to get assault weapons as easy as anything else.

I think the issue needs to be addressed from the beginning of the process. Guns need to have a title of of ownership from the get go. You sell a gun you transfer the title. The buyer has to be verified through federal data base. It's going to take a few generations for the illegal weapons to fade away but at some point if all weapons have a paper trail there should not be many illegal weapons out there.

Owners need to take responsibility. The guns need to be locked up and secured when not in use. They need to be a certified gun safe.

No system is perfect but the one we have sucks and the 20 dead kids are proof of that.

What is wrong with someone being prepared in the event of some kind of catastrophe?
You notice how many were without food and water after Sandy? Bet they wish now they were 'end times' prepared.
Would that include shooting someone over food?

The government wasn't right there either....Like I said...you're on your own.
And we need an AR15 for that too?

You eliminate all firearms from law abiding citizens and who will have them then?
You successfully eradicate ALL firearms from the populace.....killing will still go on...and probably adapt to not having firearms and still commit mass murder.
So where does it end?
Intially I was only for banning "safer semiautomatic assault rifles", but in your defense of these weapons of mass destruction (that we went to war over in 2003), you pointed out that a shotgun was even more dangerous. So I guess I have no choice but to support a ban on anything but a musket.

Hey, have at it.........I'm supposed to feel sorry for your ignorance?

So someone is kicking your door in to take your food, your possessions, rape the wife and daughter, you going to bend over and give them pansies?

And we need an AR15 for that too?

You tell me what your survival is worth.

dell,.......care to tell us WHY...Canada/Scandinavia/Australia/New Zealand....just to name a few modern democracy's, Do NOT have the Mass Murders like we have ?????????

Take your time answering if you choose.
I've got all day and night !

Wow. I grew up Florida and lived thru quite a few hurricanes. I can't recall anyone busting down the door to rape my mom. I can't recall reading much were Sandy victims were either.

Well let's see...according to you, my odds are better with a shotgun than an AR15. So given that logic, there shouldn't be a need for an AR15

Well for one thing, The US has 9 times the population of Canada, 14 times the population of Austrailia, 70 times the population of New Zealand, and 15 times the population of Scandinavia for openers.
You should look into crime stats relative to population....you might be surprised. Some parts of Canada for instance, have 5000 violent crimes per 100,000. US had in 2010 450/100,000.
Adjust it all population wise and most countries are pretty much on part as far as getting along with their fellow man.

Bring your shotgun out in the street and you'll find out the difference.

Yes, as for canada you are right about the areas of Toronto/Montreal and Windsor(Dee...'troit) .
(Not so in Vancouver-Calgary-Edmonton)

PS,
Glad our boys LOST sunday.(Probably the first and last time I'll ever say that), because I DON'T want them in the playoffs this year, as 'Banged up as they are. I want to see them ALL get healed ...and come back next year with a STEEL CURTAIN VENGENCE !
The Pass-Rush...painfully missing last weak against those D-Head cowgirls ! : (

But you just said that at close range the shotgun would be deadlier. Now we are carrying WMD's in the street for protection?

You just lost your close range advantage with the shotgun and now you are outside where the advantage is Bushmaster up to maybe 400 yards.

Does Scandinavia include Norway?

But here let me refresh your memory:

To the F-Wiki crowd:

Justice is served. 21 years in a country club prison!

How many other such cases have they had? How many has the US had? Nuts can show up any where. It is harder to obtaina weapon in NOrway than it is in the US. Norway also has a lower per capita murder rate (so does every other western nation in the world).

Maybe it has something to do with the society?

Per capita is an illusion. What is Norway's population compared to the US? And why did this guy go after whites to argue multiculturalism? Remember that word because that is where Europe's violence is increasing.

Then lets make sure we focus on American violent sociuety, since the world laughs at the USA while hiding their own dirty laundry, and there are more "Americans" willing to agree with those that hate them. Lets forget the terrorism most Europe was and is subject to due to their own domestic outlaws. The IRA, Red Brigades and others are still alive and well, but we don't hear about them as much.
