What is the difference between express and mainline express? And where does mid-Atlantic fit in? Rumor from IAM guys in CLT, one of the mainline cities that closed, who is express, will be mainline express in the fall. According to rumor the guys that stayed w/mainline and are commuting will have first dibs with this mainline express.Any truth to any of this?

Mainline and mainline express=-$7.00 less per hour, and the kicker is, if you stay while you are M.E. and at a later time you DECIDE to transfer to another Mainline station..guess what?

You are at the bottom of the transfer list, since the station is re-classified..

Nice huh?

What idiot genius thought this up?

This company never ceases to amaze me..

Corporate Fumbles over and over...

I thought the pecking order was first: displaced agents from the abandoned city whose seniority wasn''t high enough to allow them to transfer. Second: Agents from mainline cities who have an active transfer request in for that city (an active PE-66 form on file with the transfer clerks in CCY). And last new hire off the streets..

Our station had the "brains"from HR.
This is what was told to us..

And be careful, 3-4weeks prior to cutting over to express, cities available, suddenly were not-then day or 2 later "magically appeared",and the agent was told US WOULD NOT PAY HIS MOVE>

First there was an opening,
Secondly agent put in requested city,
Third Agent was advised he would be furloughed, even though he was still an active employee,
Fourth, Station opening and company said "sorry you pay for your move!"

Be careful,
The right has no concept of what the left is doing..
