What's new

F/A agreement, list the concessions

You gain nothing...

You feed an addiction - sounds like you have more than one.

And that speech has been given to the east time and again. They know what they've lost and I don't think they want to hear it from an addict.

Hey breeze, still proud of yourself for complimenting this guy?

Did ya get a raise? If NO then you lost too,

The reason I have no respect for you is you show no respect to me or anyone else on here.

You haven't earned my respect. Not even close.

Especially since you emotionally abuse children.

And not getting a raise isn't a loss. Having my pay cut (the east) and staying with said pay cut (the east) is a loss.

Thank God you're not in business. Ever hear of something called "Opportunity Cost"? That's the revenue you don't get because you're screwing around doing something else. In Printing if a job is printed wrong it has to be done over. The man hours to complete the do over is lost money out of pocket while the opportunity cost is what was lost because your equipment was tied up doing a job over and you couldn't take on other profitable work. This concept is known in economic circles as the broken window fallacy and was first expressed by the great F economist, Frederic Bastiat. His parable is on point and you can Read More here on the topic

For a US Airways Pilot the Opportunity costs are staggering. First you have the dues money collected and to date wasted on legal fees. That money could have been in your pocket. $5 Mil divided by 5,000 pilots works out to $10,000 each. Then take into account the value of a settlement with a modest raise. Wasn't there an annual cost to US estimated at around $125 Million annuallly just to get everyone to a 3% raise?

You post here with a straight face and tell me you didn't lose? My best guess is you lost about $100,000 to date. Your group left at minimum that amount per pilot in Doug Parker's pocket and you didn't lose anything?

From what I'm hearing on the East it's definitely not going to pass. A $4.00 increase is a slap in the face for what we've given up. I would separate from the pilots.. but not for that price. It's going to cost them more than that. Just curious.. what would $44.00 in 2001 be adjusted for inflation in 2012? What ever that is.. plus at least a $5.00 an hour raise and I'll do it. This is BS!!!

$44 in 2001 is $54.28 in 2010

She said that with this company and the way they operate, she could see it taking up to a year.
I'm glad she is an optimist but, unfortunately, past history does not support her guess.

If her guess is wrong, from past experience, the F/As could be waiting MUCH longer.

Give GI my regards.

Something occurred to me that I'll ask at the roadshow but I'll put it out here.

If we are bifurcated by a purchase vs. a merger are we obligated to accept the acquiring carriers contract?

She doesn't care. She has her vote, you and all the rest have yours. Vote as you see fit for what is right for you.

Not getting GI, you can PM that one.

FUD, FUD, FUD, Your right about the checkbook, increase in healthcare costs, PBS, less RSVs, less days OFF, Less VACATION , = less F/A's(furloughs) , less flexibility, less money in your checkbook! That garbage they sent out is a paycut to the EAST, F/A's, and in the END cost NEUTRAL To TEMPE! Good job DUI DOUG!

You need to attend roadshows, ask questions and make a decision that is right for you. I've been flying for many years and quite frankly, if you want all these "industry standard" benefits, then start looking and acting like you deserve it. Most of our f/as look like they just rolled out of bed, and are rude to the customers and to each other. It's a joke....and "I want $60.00 an hour". Step up and give the impression that you deserve it!!!...and remember............there are no locks on the doors........ feel free to leave at anytime! And the AW f/as complaining that they have to pay for healthcare..........get real and educate yourselves about the real world...........all the whining and complaining...........go out in the "real world" because flying 40hrs a month and getting full time benefits is unheard of anywhere else in this country. How about being more concerned about people that have taken 9 months of voluntary leaves, worked 11 days in the past year and get the same benefits as you and I who bust ourselves....that would be more important on my list of concerns!!
