I'll have to look it up-but at one time there were locations in NYS where bars stayed open until 4 am, but I believe that because of the anti-drunk driving campaign, there is a statewide law that bars must close at 2. Can't say anything about NYC.

I heard flight attendents aren't suppose to drink, I believe 36 hours before a flight?, yet I know some that broke the rule. Arrive at 10 pm, go to a bar til 2, and off you go at 10 am. 😛h34r:

FWIU, the F/A in question did not work the flight out of BUF. Delta DH'ed a F/A from LGA to BUF to work.
The F/A Deadheaded home, no disciplinary action taken and F/A paid for the entire trip.

FAA limits are .04 and eight hours is a 'guideline'.
Alcohol absorption and depletion rates vary from person to person.

One cannot hammer back shots of jack all night and pass out 8 hours before work as you will still be over .04.
IIRC, some companies require a limit of .02 for pilots.

Thanks, seems I was misinformed...unless airline policies are different. They weren't Delta fas btw.

His SKD would be cleared with a code SFSM or just restricted. However its easily accesible, he was paid for the entire trip even though he flew just 1 of the 3 days. In fact he is leaving on an intl trip tonight. So much for those who thought ONLY a union can protect you.

I didn't see anyone mentioning labor before now. Not sure it's relevant to this particular incident.

More than likely the FA submitted for a BAC and proved their own innocence.

If DL fired the FA and the BAC was 0 big time lawsuit.

Of course it's relevant, because that is all we have heard for YEARS that we need to vote in a Union for this very reason.
To protect you from these things! "Only a Union can PROTECT you. etc, etc..... Its was all just Hype. Many F/A are
already realizing that is was all just that....HYPE. If you didn't do anything wrong, (Drugs/alcohol/physical abuse) the company will
have your back. In this case, they got him out of the situation (DH home) and paid him for his trip.

Shall I post the case of the DL FA who was terminated for a drug test and ALPA and the AFA got involved to get her the job back, she didnt even test positive.

Oh, one example almost 20 years ago. Good on you. It was a terrible incident, however, Most have learned from, and moved on.
I know she did and doesn't HATE Delta, as some who decide to stay and be miserable.
If you want to be stuck in the past, enjoy. Again, this is an example where the Union wasn't needed.
Not what they wanted us to believe, that we would be "fired" for any reason.
