F/A TA agreement

From what I've seen so far with the closed items.....the company herded the JNC where they wanted them. I don't see any quality of work life for anyone, especially the reserves.

Thumbs down.

I stand corrected and I like it. I hope it is true what you say about the 67%. "No Concessions!!!!"

Just got the E-Line that a T/A has been reached. Let the roadshows begin.........
Note to AFA JNC: Don't just send out a "highlights" booklet as you have done in the past. I want a copy of the WHOLE T/A so I can see what horrors I might be working under if passed. I'm too old for surprises!

So, I wonder - once the TA is out, if the west F/A's will just vote anything in. Wonder if there is gonna be some sort of statistic on how each group votes. I would assume that because the west F/A's are at such a disadvantage (payscale-wise) that they would just vote yes to anything that raises their salaries a bit. I certainly can understand them. Based on that group having voted in the previous toilet paper called a CBA, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Let's hope that this TA is something really good.
No, they won't vote just anything in.

They won't give up a vacation week as well as numerous other benefits.

Curious what the east was willing to part with to get this out.

Point taken.

Speaking at least for myself, I mean no disrespect when I concede that WEST may be more likely to vote in "anything". As far as I am concerned WEST has been treated so shabbily for the past ten years, I simply would not blame them for any vote to get a raise. Having said that, I do hope and expect WEST to use their brains and vote in their best interests.

The pilots problems are their own. There is no animosity here for any FA. Hopefully, we'll be working together soon.

Why do the flight attendants always have to act all butch?

Oh Snap. Never knew a flight attendant could be butch. Maybe in their minds.

Don't worry about the West voting it in...worry about CLT F/As. They always bend over and vote yes ! It's happened at least the last 2 contracts.

Where is Travelpro.....in his own words crickets. I'm sure he's workin hard at his Phl lec office

Unfortunately, its not up to the west.

This is all on the east. If the east FA's like it will pass. There is nothing the west can do vote-wise.

75% of the F/A's I've asked intend to vote no. (I had a 321 yesterday and didn't get the opportunity to ask the extra).

But don't forget CLT is not the same animal it was in the past. With the innundation of LGA, BOS, and PIT f/a's it has changed. Also it is a very junior base now and none of the reserves I have talked to are at all happy with the reserve section that has already been released. Most say the rest of the TA doesn't even matter to them as the reserve section will make their quality of life disintergrate even more. Admittedly, rsv's are only 15% or so on the east so hopefully along with the west we can keep from being railroaded by the company again. There is also the group of f/a's who sit on the fence-holding blocks only part of the year who are concerned with the rsv section. And unless the company offers at least a minimum of $10 increase (which I personally don't see them doing), I just don't see it passing. Only time will tell.

Questions: Is this contract the "line in the sand" for most F/A's? Are you ready, willing & able to implement CHAOS and if required shut the airline down? All the way up to and including Liquidation?

I, personally would have preferred being released from the mediator so we could implement chaos in 30 days. I think in one week targeting about 5 international flights, a few DCA-LGA flights, and every flight to MCO on a Saturday would encourage the company to rethink their offer. And don't tell me they can shut the company down. If they can't pay industry average, note I did not say industry leading salaries, it should be shut down. But I don''t think they would let this cash cow fold. I also say this realiizing everyone is not in my position. Jobs are very important in this economy but standing up for what you deserve after giving so much is important too. So, yes, this is my line in the sand, but I am only one vote.

Would you have been one of those that walked off an airplane and sacrificed his job until this was settled?

Its all tough talk with CHAOS until those asked to walk off are told the'll be out of a job until the union negotiates for their return.
