I'd like you now to consider what I propose thusly -

First, those oft evily painted and frequent victims of character assassination, Mike and Carol, were ousted so that others could then step in and show us all how a real contract negotiation is done. Remember that?

The others stepped in- CC, et al and trashed the original contract ...but went ahead and promised a newer, better 2nd contract. Remember all that too?

Next, and skipping ahead for attention spans sake, a 2nd TA was produced that was largely the same as the 1st. What I want you to remember is that this 2nd TA which was basically the same as the first with more money was wholey supported by the entire AFA Council. We all received emails and watched kindof corney infomercial styled videos stating the importance of a yes vote. There were also many emphatic statements stating the solidarity of the AFA Council made during this process.

Now, the tricky part...Pitbull as you would argue, with her much valued opines (lol) blubbers on and on about how CC supported the needs of her base by way of the huge CLT fail, but herein lays the problem. "CC" publicly stated her support for the 2nd TA. So if the base rejected the 2nd TA and "CC" supported the 2nd TA then it isn't an unreasonable question to ask: "what is "CC" still doing there as CLT Pres?" This does in fact lend credence to the jokes about the CLT membership being a bunch of idiots. How does Pitbull draw the conclusion that CC was supporting and protecting a base by a landslide fail when the "outcome" was the exact opposite of what CC publicly stated that she wanted?

The videos and emails stated that all base Presidents were onboard with the 2nd TA.

So Skyhigh who exactly is the "CC" Pitbull is writing about? Remember AFA was working "IN UNITY" and still puts forth emails stating as much. You just posted one earlier this evening.

Maybe Pitbull just missed out on what happened over the last few months...which begs the answer ~ this might be why so many don't care for her "opinions".

Of interest is that should we fas go out on strike at some point all the cries of poverty from the fas over reduced pay etc will land firmly and exactly where they belong- at CC's feet.

No. What they did was make a selfish choice. One that perpetuates continued harm on many, many junior fas...all so they could continue to fly with the pilots. I don't think their hive minded decision was intelligent or rational. It was instead self serving and stupid.

I will relish the sight of them walking a picket line, if things do come to this.

BTW, history books are loaded with intelligent "college educated" people harming large swaths of the population. A douchebag with a shield of education is still a douchebag.

Zombie is an inaccurate description for the base. I use Hive minded because they are still "barely" living, but their thinking is expressed in terms of a dumbed down collective base and selfish consciousness. I find it most curious that many in the base are probably very religious, yet forgot to to watch out for "the least of..." Clt is apparently a very strange country.

The best argument against CLT comes from you when you state that they voted to express "their sense of selfworth". Nice. Gotta love that "Southern Hospitality."

To read this thread is to mentally shake one's head in disbelief.

Accusations of zombiedom, and massive denigration of f/as who dared to vote against those, who for whatever reason, didn't want to do math. Then, one is informed that one is selfish if one votes in one's own best interests. . . ??? You may want to pay attention to a cyclic American event that happens this early November. Self interest runs rampant!!!

It is truly sad that so many f/as have decided that their worth has a low ceiling. Maybe it really does. If you haven't pursued some kind of intellectual or skill advancement, those failed contracts really were the key to your future. Fine, but try to have tolerance for those of us who do have skills, and a life outside the airline, and know our worth, not to mention the current profit numbers of US.

TA1 and TA2 represented concessions without adequate compensation and frankly some of us just flat out didn't want that many changes to our work-life balance.

This kind of drivel is divisive and unhelpful. The path ahead is in motion and the rest is just history.

Keeping with your theme of the coming election - what would the public perception be of a work group who is offered a 13% to 25% raise and turns it down?
