I see the warning on the wings site as to weight restrictions on eastbound flights from Rome to the States on the A330's. Any figures out there that might give an average number of seats that are blacked out?
I flew back from Venice last year and the flight was tight on the 767, but we made it on and it seems like most if not all the seats were filled. Thanks.

I think you mean westbound, as FCO to PHL or CLT is westbound.

It might have to do with prevailing winds at altitude. I have flown US to FCO and other cities in Italy and back many times, and have not been aware of any restrictions, but perhaps on a 762 you might run into them with heavy winds.

You are right,I meant westbound. They are using A330-300's on the flight and I know these birds are older models and I worry about not being able to get back non-reving.
