Feel The Bern

Kev, the problem is, the framing of your question is under a false premise.
The establishment GOP has proven, they are the same as the leftist Dems as far as governing is concerned.
Cruz has risen to the top because he is NOT establishment GOP.
All of the easily identified establishment GOP guys are in single digits.

Let's try this:

America became the envy of the world with
Free Markets
Individual Freedom
Low taxes
Limited Government
Private Property Rights

Now, that's more than 3, but answer me this:
Which party will do more of the above and which party will do less of the above?

Did you ever notice that the middle class started shrinking and jobs started leaving America after Reagan got elected?   Why invest in the company when you can simply grow by merging or buying out the competition.  Of course, all that comes with "synergies"....better known as two people doing the same jobs. Just get rid of the duplicates and instant growth and costs are cut.

We also started focusing on stock performance about that time....it was better to keep the stock price up than it was to invest in technology to make the company stronger...besides, they had labor unions they could point to as being the cause of the problem.

And.  You know something most people had prior to Reagan?  Pensions.  Today, how many people have pensions?  Mostly the execs of the companies who dumped the employee pension plans.  But they were replaced with the 401K...the common man's road to retirement riches.  You put your money in the stock market and you let it grow.  Then something like 2008 happend (which was under a republican).  Oops...there goes the retirement.  But I know....people made it back up in the ensuing years....under that crappy economy of Obama.

There you go again.
2008 happened, but the sub prime crisis was conceived with Jimmy Carter and expanded with Clinton.

You know...for a group who likes to criticize us for "blaming Bush"....you have to go back 40 years.  During that time, apparently a lot of folks who got the loans banks were "forced" to make have repaid them.  Unless they were total idiots and refied for 35 years before finallay defaulting.

Reagan had 8 years, HW Bush had 4 years, and W had 8 years to undo these policies that forced banks to make no doc loans and offer up mortgages to anyone who could breathe, then package and sell them as "investment grade" ....wait...that's not what Carter enacted...he only passed a law that outlawed redlining and said that banks couldn't refuse to make loans simply because of where the property was located.  He didn't "force" banks to not require documentation.   It was some "modifications" made under republicans that allowed that to happen.   I know...I know...you don't have to go back to Carter....why you just point to Barney Frank.  One lone homosexual who had the power to make 534 other members of Congress bow to his wishes.   The fact is that the Republicans have done more damage to the middle class and this country than any democrat could ever hope to do.  But to their credit....they have done a masterful job of getting the guy living in a mobile home, working two jobs and driving a 20 year old truck to believe that HE is part of the top 1% that the democrats want to tax. \

And they have done a masterful job of getting those guys to vote against their own best interests so that the guys flying in their private jets for a golf weekend in Palm Springs can have more money.  More money in their pockets means bigger tips for the beer girl on the back nine....and she'll go own and start her own company and create all kinds of jobs because of this money that "trickled down" in the economy.  When I hear the words "trickle down", I often think of incontinence - because the only trickling most Americans have felt has been the warm feel of the last drops of piss trickling down upon them from the "job creators"

It's really something, isn't it? The right has absolutely mastered the art of messaging and conditioning of opinion.

Another example of lack of self awareness.

Look at your own party of "Hope and Change" that left you disillusioned after two terms.

Dont shoot the messenger...
Still waitin' on that list, btw...
Me as well. When you gonna step up?

Do you recall that saying about glass house's?

You want to know what the GOP has done, at the same time unable to recite what DEMS have done.

Name calling doesn't help.

For months, you've flooded this board with pro-GOP memes, YouTube clips, and so on.

All I'm asking for is 3 things the GOP has done to benefit America's middle class. Should be easy. Surely, KC wasn't right, was he?

3 things.

And your answer to my question is...?
Missed it earlier.

Your question in general's a good one. As for "smaller government," the GOP says that's their domain, but all I've seen is an increase in central control, and a decrease in local autonomy.

Personal freedoms? Maybe with 2A, but all bets are off after that. Heck, we have one sitting Republican governor who went out of his way to deny his constituents their 1st Amendment rights.

I wonder how women forced to deal with vaginal ultrasounds feel about the GOPs stance on "individual freedom." Maybe Pete can answer that one for us...

And so it goes...

So Hildabeast and Old goat socialist both claim victory in Iowa?

What a clown show. Poor Bernie supporters are having epic meltdowns and still claiming they will write him in if Hildabeast gets the nomination.

...And why not?
It's the legal right to do so if they choose...
Now how 'bout that list?
Pete doesn't believe in the courtesy that if a person asks a question first that they should expect an answer before twisting the question back like a bad tennis ball.

She will NEVER answer your question because she has no ammunition in that gun of hers to fire anything out.

You throw out a lot of rude and juvenile comments to try and propel your opinions. Are we dealing with a juvenile here? Because you certainly don't come across like a well informed and educated adult.

Is trying to converse with you in any meaningful way just a complete exercise in futility?
