Fleet Repainting

Yesterday I saw N578UW, an A321, in the old US livery but with the new AA logo on it where it previously said US AIRWAYS. It looks like it began service sometime in April so would be one of the newer 'buses in the old paint scheme. I wonder how many others will get this treatment and how long it will be before 578 gets a complete repaint. Unfortunately I couldn't find or take a photo. Has anyone else seen it? It doesn't look too bad.

I just wish they would do something with the winglets they look to naked

agree with you jcw about the winglets   US still has a enough boat loads of planes to repaint ranging from the 319 to the 330s to the 57s and 67s to paint    last I had heard was that it was only 20% had been painted    the newest 321s  tail nbrs 570ish and 913 are coming online already in the new paint scheme of AA

Indeed.  At least according to the last numbers I saw elsewhere, the USAirways system overall is at about 18.9% repainted - slightly higher (22.4%) for mainline and lower (15.1%) for Express.  Depending on capacity, it seems like repainting may be about to accelerate going into the slower winter months - especially after the holidays.

The winglets need to be painted red to make them more visible for wingtip clearence.
