Fleet service clerks are filing for a representational vote @JetBlue

Update: Timeline and Our Rights

As you know, the IAM filed an application with the National Mediation Board (NMB), a federal agency, to conduct a union representation vote on Friday, September 23, 2022.

On September 26, 2022, the NMB ordered JetBlue management to forward to the NMB the list of “potential eligible voters” by Monday, October 11, 2022. Yesterday, JetBlue’s high-priced attorneys requested a one week extension, until Monday, October 18, 2022, to submit the list (we will let you know if the extension is granted). Once the NMB receives the list of potential eligible voters from JetBlue management, the federal agency will then determine if at least 50 percent of GO Crewmembers signed an election authorization card (a-card), requesting a union election be scheduled.

The NMB controls the timeline of this process, and we will keep you updated on any developments every step of the way.

It is very important that all GO Crewmembers understand that our right to join, and express support to form a union of JetBlue GO Crewmembers, is protected under federal law. The NMB’s Notice to Employees states:

“No carrier, its officers, or agents shall deny or in any way question the right of its employees to join, organize, or assist in organizing the labor organization of their choice, and it shall be unlawful for any carrier to interfere in any way with the organization of its employees […] The Carrier is not permitted to influence, interfere or coerce employees in any manner in an effort to induce them to participate or refrain from participating in an election should there be one.”

If you believe that JetBlue is attempting to influence, interfere or coerce you against exercising your right to join a union, please notify an IAM representative. Please click the following link to find out more about your rights, and how you can file an ANONYMOUS “carrier interference” charge: https://iam141.org/report-company-interference/

Not sure what the NMB's hold up is on posting last week's updates, but never seen them go past Wed of following week to post previous weekly updates.
Still nothing officially posted about the JB ground crew filing for a representational vote to unionize.

I did find this article below in the Ill. Bus. Journal. What is odd is the title says they did file, and the first para says that they will file. This article is dated the 23rd of Sep. that is 2 Fridays ago and still nothing official posted by NMB on either of their weekly updates. Very odd indeed. Filing something and actually getting it on the docket are two totally different items.
Not understanding the hold up, on the NMB end, if there was a filing back on Sep 23rd. Been checking NMB site daily and still nothing:

The IAM, North America’s largest airline union, has announced that it will file an application with the National Mediation Board (NMB), the federal agency that conducts union representation elections in the airline and railroad sectors. The IAM has sufficient interest among JetBlue Fleet Service workers to conduct a union representation election.
“I congratulate all JetBlue Ground Operations workers for uniting in solidarity and demanding that a union representation election be conducted,” said IAM International President Robert Martinez Jr. “It’s been a long road for these brave workers to get to this point, and the IAM stands shoulder to shoulder with them. We will mobilize our union’s significant resources to ensure that these brave and resilient JetBlue workers have a fair and free election.”
JetBlue Ground Operations workers rebooted their efforts to gain union representation in 2021 after working through the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused the worst financial downturn in the airline industry’s history. JetBlue workers have cited below-standard industry pay rates and benefits, poor and unsafe working conditions, unjustified discipline and terminations, among many other issues as reasons to gain IAM representation and a seat at the table.
“JetBlue workers are a smart, strong and determined group of workers and we can’t wait to welcome them into the IAM family,” said IAM District 141 President Mike Klemm. “The IAM will support JetBlue workers in getting to and winning this election and negotiating a union contract that reflects their true value to JetBlue Airways.”
The IAM represents airline workers at every major U.S. airline.
JetBlue has a presence at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport (STL).

And here's the NMB's weekly updates:

And here's the NMB's weekly updates:

Are you blind?

The letter has been posted twice and the post from 141 is posted.

do you have something wrong with you?

its all in this thread.

Well, it's about time the NMB finally updates the weekly reports.
2 new additions are the JB fleet service as well as the Sun Country fleet service for the week of 23-30th.
Congrats to all involved with getting a possible vote to unionize, as we wait for the NMB investigation/approval to move forward in both cases. Below is finally the NMB updating the web site for the final week in Sep.

Since half this thread is apparently ignoring Weasles now, it looks like the card count will be done beginning of February.

You and swamp (SWAMECH) seem to be the only people here. Swampy is ignoring everyone but you. Understandable of course since on many things you’re his wing man.

Weasles, still the board legend in his own forum. I check to see if anything important worth reading here. Nothing. Just like late night talk shows slowly loosing interest.

Yup. This board has definitely dwindled to a once or twice a weekend stop. We used to see a hundred posts a day.

Everyone still alive or not retired and no longer interested has migrated to Facebook Group pages. And many of them are dead as well since people now spend most of their day sitting around streaming entertainment content.

Yep the big media influence peddlers have officially won. Orwell 1984
