ok . i just watched airline, and this guy was kicked off a flt from mdw to las for being drunk. the camera followed the guy to the parking lot and let him drive home. i know this is not wn problem. once the guy has left the terminal he can do what ever he wishes but it does not look good to let this get in his car drunk and drive away. <_<

When I posted above I hadn't yet seen tonight's new episode (not on 'till 11pm out here in MST) and assumed you were referring to an earlier drunk (memo to producers: Enough drunks already! we get it--you booze it up, you look really stupid) and not the latest one. In his defense, I'd say he was the only denied boarder yet shown that I personally would've let fly. Bet he'd have either fallen asleep or kept on attempting to chat up the bachelorettes (bet he tries to keep his unseen but mentioned girlfriend from seeing the episode! 😀 ) He seemed much less a hazard than tonight's combative LAX drunk.

Not sure how WN does this but most Airlines during boarding announcements make it clear which row is the Emergency Exit and make sure Pax is Okay with possible Evacuation.... Most Express Flights still Brief the Exit Row... Yes, they qualified ...But Just wondering how useful they would've been in an Emergency!!!

Yes, they certainly brief you on the exit row and the requirements, just like they do on other airlines. How useful would they have been? My guess is as much if not more useful that some self important "elite" flyer that most other airlines reserve exit row seating for. Because a butt is in a seat for the first time or the four hundredth time, unless the frequent flyer has assisted in an emergency evacuation before, they are just as "experienced" in this process as the first time flyer.Colby said:

The OWWE PA is spoken as follows before the forward entry door is closed on ALL Southwest flights.....
"The overwing window exit is an emergency exit row. If you are seated in this row, please take a moment to review the safety information card in the seatback pocket in front of you or above the aft facing seats. If you have a condition that will prevent you from performing the functions listed on the card, if you feel you may suffer bodily harm as a result of performing these functions, if you feel that you do not meet the selection criteria or if you simply do not wish to perform the functions required, please notify a flight attendant and we will be happy to assist you with selecting another seat."
Further, the OWWE is one of our assigned boarding positions and the F/A at the exit row monitors those who choose seats there for eligibility. Once the exit rows are filled or boarding is complete, the F/A verbally advises the passengers in question of where they are seated, the responsibilities of said seats and requests a verbal response from each of them as to their willingness to perform the required functions. Honestly, beyond that I don't know what else we could do.
