Fun contest! Guess where NWA's next "incident" will be!

there is a NWA 757 at my city and from what i was told it made an emergency landing at ABE yesterday due to low oil pressure. The mechanics, if you call them that, just started "to try to fix" it at around 630pm tonight.
Hmmmm... I wonder what flight it is? It's not yet listed on FlightAware.com and the 'crack' staff at the Morning Call hasn't reported it as breaking news.

i didnt even know till i went into work today and saw it there and i was told by a few friends at nwa (soon to be outsourced) that it made an emergency landing yesterday. i will try to get more info but if someone else can thats be great thanks

That would be flight 528 (DTW-LGA). The flight diverted to ABE due to a right engine oil leak. It was supposed to ferry back to DTW this AM at 0700, but was still on the ground in ABE when I looked this afternoon.

For those keeping score at home, this was A/C 5653....

This had to be a pretty serious oil leak. The a/c was about 25 minutes at most from landing in LGA & they probably could have gotten a priority clearance into LGA. On the flip side, they were probably about 45 minutes from DTW to return there.

Right now it's sked as NW9868 from ABE-DTW at 0700. The link right now shows a FAR-MSP routing, which must have been the most recent ferry flight night number. That was operated as a DC-9. Any FAR folks know if it was a simple a/c reposition or something different?

You mean those proud union, due paying, AMFA Boys can't fix an oil leak?
how can it be union AMFA Boys when while they were there, NWA didnt have daily weekly emergency landings scaby boy? this occured cuz NWA cant maintain there junkers

So who won the latest round? I think I'll go with MIA and pressurization...always a favorite. Good odds too...SCABS just pencil whip pressurization problems.

With the recent occurances of "normal" emergency landings, aborted takeoffs, diversions, etc. that NWA has encountered in the past few weeks, I thought that it would be a good idea for someone to start a thread in which we could speculate where the next "incident" will happen.

Here's the guidelines for this contest:

1) pick the airport where you think the incident will occur,

2) the person who's location is closest to the actual incident location is the winner.

That's it!

The only prize that the winner will receive is the satisfaction of knowing that they were not on that flight! 😀

Since I started the thread, I will make the first guess...

MEM (Memphis)

how about an emergency landing at DOVER AIRFORCE BASE due to another oil pressure problem and plane sits for 2 days 😀

9868-A/C 9857- on the 12th was a reposition flight from MSP-FAR.

Flight 867 (MSP-GFK) diverted to FAR on the night of the 11th due to weather being below landing minimums in GFK (fog).
