<_< -------- http://finance.yahoo.com/news/United-Airlines-Mechanics-prnews-4253930160.html?x=0 What has the TWU done for you lately?
The Final contract is on the United Ailines thread on these boards.<_< -------- http://finance.yahoo.com/news/United-Airlines-Mechanics-prnews-4253930160.html?x=0 What has the TWU done for you lately?
They most certainly chose the TWU by not replacing the worthless union during the past 8.5 years. The AMTs have not chosen nothing, they are represented by the TWU and its the TWU's jurisdiction to represent their members.
Really? What are the restrictions on CS'ing? The fact is They have CS rights, we have CS priviliedges and our rules are more restrictive than theirs. Each station at AA makes up their own rules, they can do back to back doubles, some of us can, some can't, depends on the director. They notify management, we put in requests, big difference.Reading the terms of the UA deal, I'm not so sure it is all that much better than what the TWU got the AA guys... No caps on outsourcing, and what looks like a lot of restrictions on CS'ing.

Plus they don't have a pension and retiree Med.Reading the terms of the UA deal, I'm not so sure it is all that much better than what the TWU got the AA guys... No caps on outsourcing, and what looks like a lot of restrictions on CS'ing.
That's where you are, not the Northeast. We have a very restrictive policy. I would rather have a more restricted right than a more liberal priviledge that management can change whenever thy get a bug up their ass.Bob,
You have to give credit where credit is due. The CS policy is very leniant right now. Pretty much, at the overhaul stations, people basically are setting their own hours, just saying. It is a good benefit. Shutdown week had people signed up to work and then call in vacation days. In trouble, 100 percent chance they are not. DFW has so many day trades and CS; they have a CS broker. Some things are not right but on this policy, we have to back up on saying its restrictive. I believe most things your saying on this board, but when you say our policy is restrictive, it makes me second guess some of the other things.
They do have a pension, a direct contribution on all earnings. Between 4 % and 6% depending on age.Plus they don't have a pension and retiree Med.

You're right, Bob. AA's policy is worse.
