I took the comment Sparrow made to mean legal involvement such as legislation.

Not in this case.

1. There are no such thing as group rights. No Gay Rights, No Black rights.

2. We have the right to our Life our Liberty, our Property and the right of self defense.

3. A person has only those right they can defend or claim. An example would be a women being able to vote.

4. Government has no place in the relationships between individuals.

5. Government exist to preserve Liberty and to enforce private property rights as well as preventing or prosecuting the initiation of force against another.

Government needs to "Butt Out" of the religious aspect of marriage ands stick to enforcing private property rights among couples be they straight or gay.

That's why SSM will go back to a states rights issue.

And Arkansas bites the dust.

Not so fast says the courts.

For the second time this week, the Arkansas Supreme Court has overruled a county judge who struck down as unconstitutional all state laws that banned same-sex marriage.
The high court's action Friday halted the issuance of licences to same-sex couples pending all appeals. Before the emergency order, more than 450 couples had received licenses in three counties.

As expected the Supreme court in AR placed a hold on the lower court order. All these cases will get appealed to the higher courts and either the US supreme court will strike it down or the state courts will strike them down one by one.  All the courts have not misread the SCOTUS ruling on DOMA wrong.  Marriage equality will come one way or the other.

Do you feel the Justice Department was right in not defending DOMA?
