How about newt cheating on his wife?
And how about Josh Duggar?
Last time I checked they are both republicans.
Gingrich was a different issue. He was running on family vues while cheating on two wives. Dugan is not running for office. He is a TV personality who got caught with his hand in various cookie jars.

Davis is a Republican as well. The fact that she ran on a DNC ticket does not change that fact.

Their whole stayement is rife with lies and inaccuracies

She wasn't arrested

She was held in contempt

Judges can do that

"Civil contempt of court most often happens when someone fails to adhere to an order from the court, with resulting injury to a private party's rights. For example, failure to pay court ordered child support can lead to punishment for civil contempt. Typically, the aggrieved party, such as a parent who has not received court ordered child support payments, may file an action for civil contempt.

Punishment for Civil Contempt of Court vs. Criminal Contempt of Court

Unlike criminal contempt sentences, which aim to punish the act of contempt, civil contempt sanctions aim to either: (1) restore the rights of the party who was wronged by the failure to satisfy the court's order; or (2) simply move an underlying proceeding along. Civil contempt sanctions typically end when the party in contempt complies with the court order, or when the underlying case is resolved.

Like those charged with criminal contempt, the court may order incarceration of people held in civil contempt. However, unlike individuals charged with criminal contempt, people held in civil contempt are generally not given the same constitutional rights that are guaranteed to criminal contempt defendants.

Those held in civil contempt generally must be given notice of the contempt sanctions and an opportunity to be heard, but usually are not guaranteed a jury trial. Also, their contempt does not need to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, while criminal contempt charges must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Finally, criminal contempt involves a specified sentence (jail and/or fine), while civil contempt sanctions can be more indefinite, lasting until either the underlying case is resolved or the party in contempt complies with the court order.

Post, then read, or just don't bother to read

Fire, then aim

Invade, then try to find a justification for it, or another one, or another one...

There be a trend here folks...

Townpete,

Just give it up and admit you were wrong with those things you posted that were clearly proven to be false.

I make mistakes in my posts occasionaly when I don't do due diligence in my research. I own up to it, admit it and move on.

Why is that so difficult?

BTW: Putting an 'lol' on the distraction posts just makes you seem childish.

The reality of what happened is irrelavant.  They are paining a picture.  They are hoisting them selves up on the cross as victimes of persecution.  The believers will see it as such and agree.  Those who understand how the US legal system works understand that their narative has holes in it large enough to drive a truck through.

Now these Oath keeper morons are going to go out there and very possibly cause someone to get hurt or killed.  Apparently not a one of them has ever taken a civics course to understand how the US system of government works.  Hopfully Davis does not violate the terms of her release and the court does not need to put her back in jail.  If that happens and these Oath keeper morons actually do what they say they aer going to do, someone will get hurt and I hope it is not an officer of the court.

I suspect that will be hard for the law and order conservatives to explain or may be not.  I guess in their eyes, laws they do not agree with do not have to be obeyed.  I wonder if that excuse applies to other groups of people as well.  Probably not is my guess.

Open Letter From Baptist Pastor Destroys Hypocrite Kim Davis And Her Supporters
Since I am a pastor of a southern Baptist church please allow me to weigh in on the case of Kim Davis, the lady in Kentucky who refuses to issue a marriage licenses to a same sex couple.

First: This is not a case of the government forcing anyone to violate their religious belief. She is free to quit her job. If she quits her job to honor God surely God would take care of her.

Second: This is not a case of someone trying to uphold the sanctity of marriage. If she wanted to uphold the sanctity of marriage she should not have been married four different times. If she is worried about her name being affixed to a marriage license that goes against a biblical definition of marriage, she should not have her name on the last three marriage licenses given to her.

Third: This seems to be a case of someone looking to cash in on the religious right. Churches all across the south will throw money at her to come and tell congregations how the evil American government put her in jail because of her faith in Jesus.

This is why we are losing.

This is why people have such disdain for evangelicals.

Not because we disagree but because we don’t take the bible seriously. If ever there was a case of “he who is without sin cast the first stone”, this is it. If ever there was a “take the log out of your eye” moment, this is it.

We must stop looking to the government to make America a Christian utopia. Our kingdom is not of this world.
We must abandon all thoughts of fixing others and let Jesus fix us.

If we want sanctity of marriage then stop cheating, stop having affairs, stop looking at porn, stop getting divorces. That is the way for the church to stand up for the biblical definition of marriage, not by someone martyring their self-righteous self.
