Gay Marriage

Don't stop with the homosexuals.  Even though marriage has been defined to be between a man and a woman since the beginning of time...polygamists, and people that want to marry their horse or underage kid have "rights" too deserving equality.  Society wants to now blur what is acceptable or not, just remember you can't discriminate to one group and not the other.  It's a lost cause....

No reason polygamy should be illegal. As for the other examples perhaps you shohld read up on consent and get back to us.

Speaking of this 'traditional' marriage thing. Shall we go back to the time when traditional marruage was considered an exchange of property and the creation of alliances. A marriage where the woman had no rugjts and was given away by the father ("who gives this woman").

Seems a bit silly to claim tradition for the things you like while ignoring the tradition that yku don't.

Then there is the fact that marriage is now a legal contract not a religious one.

But at this time government says your wrong on polygamy.  Soo which is it?  These are consenting adults after all......

Not sure what your point is. Popular opinion is still aganst polygamy although I have yet to hear a legal argument against it. Yes they are consenting adults. Animals and children do not have the legal abikity to consent.

Women voting...was nothing more than a minority group trying to force an unpopular concept on the American public.

Blacks marrying whites...was nothing more than a minority group trying to force an unpopular concept on the American public.

Non-property owners being allowed to vote...was nothing more than a minority group trying to force an unpopular concept on the American public.

Blacks serving with white in the military...was nothing more than a minority group trying to force an unpopular concept on the American public.

American Indian right to vote and citizenship...was nothing more than a minority group trying to force an unpopular concept on the American public.

Blacks allowed to vote...was nothing more than a minority group trying to force an unpopular concept on the American public.

Blacks not being owned as property and deemed free...was nothing more than a minority group trying to force an unpopular concept on the American public.

Any more you can think of?
Leave it to a libtard to try to steer this into a race issue.

I said minority GROUPS not minorities. Big difference.

Every CITIZEN should have a right to vote (the libtards are pushing for illegals to have the right to vote).

You seem to be awfully vocal about gay rights.

What about the rights of the established religions to not have the sacred act of marriage mocked by a group of manipulating con artist.

Gays like to market their homosexuality.

They call it "the gay lifestyle".

They go out of their way to draw attention to themselves then react like a bunch of spoiled children to criticism.

What ever happened to keeping ones personal life personal?

Who decided it was OK for the gays to expose the public to what should be a personal affair?

It's not the person being gay most people have a problem with, It's the way gays go out of their way to expose the public to their sexual orientation.

Gay marriage is nothing more than manipulation by a gay populace pushing an agenda.

This is a legal issue. Unless you have a legal argument against any of these perceived issues I dont see the point.

This battle is all but won. I do not recall a single state that has reversed the ban on gay marriage having a court reinstate it.

Really?  Why do we never ask a heterosexual couple if they will practice oral or anal sex in their marital bed?  They keep that to themselves.   But if a man and a man or a woman and a woman want to get married and gain the same rights, the bedroom becomes front and center in the issue.  And for what it's worth, I attend a rather "liberal" church which welcomes many gays.  They are not butt fucking during the service.  They are just like the other hetero people that are in attendence.

Tell me why sharks should not be able to vote. WTF cares. Has nothing to do what is being discussed.

Well Quaq,
That’s horse ****.  This isn’t a ‘race, color, creed, natural origin’ issue.
It’s a morality issue.
What is immoral and what is moral?
Read a commentary this morning about the gooberment opting out of morality laws. (Sorry lost the link as it disappeared… Go Figure)
Morality and ethics go hand in hand and we can’t have one without the other.
IMHO, our degradation in morality is directly proportionate to our degradation in ethics.
Roman morality was a degrading moving target, how did that work out?
😛

Except the gay members publicly violate the tenants of their faith with your church's approval all in the name of being politically correct.

I guess it is okay to look the other way as long as those tithes are paid and those collection plates keep coming back full right?

My church does not judge based on what you might find "offensive".  My church accepts.  Regardless of age, race, sexual orientation...you name it.

The tenet of my faith is that there is one God and that spirit resides in all of us.  Because of that, we are all inherently good.   We believe that this God has more important things to do than keep tabs on all the bad stuff we are doing here so he can condemn us to a life in hell.

This church, unlike any I have been a part of, does not push the tithing thing.  They take an offering and they are thankful for it.   If a gay person wants to put money in the collection plate, they will take it and they will thank him and they will love him.  And they will not condemn him.

I am a driven away Catholic.  Many members of my church consider themselves "recovering Catholics".
