Well Quaq,
That’s horse ####.  This isn’t a ‘race, color, creed, natural origin’ issue.
It’s a morality issue.
What is immoral and what is moral?
Read a commentary this morning about the gooberment opting out of morality laws. (Sorry lost the link as it disappeared… Go Figure)
Morality and ethics go hand in hand and we can’t have one without the other.
IMHO, our degradation in morality is directly proportionate to our degradation in ethics.
Roman morality was a degrading moving target, how did that work out?
😛
I read through the COTUS and saw no mention of morality.  Can you point it out to me?

Who's morality do you want to use?  Yours I assume?  I know you do not want mine.  Some feel it is moral to own another human.  Some feel it is moral for women to be subservient.   Morality is fluid.  What you believe is moral will not match what others feel is moral.  That might be a reason why law very rarely deals deals with morality.

It's my body and my life.  I do not want your morality having any affect on my life.

As far as morals and ethics, not sure how expanding freedom can be anything but good.

Except the gay members publicly violate the tenants of their faith with your church's approval all in the name of being politically correct.

I guess it is okay to look the other way as long as those tithes are paid and those collection plates keep coming back full right?
Birth control?  What's the bibles stance on smoking, drinking and divorce?  I was not aware that the bible/religion was an a-la-cart thing for everyone except gays.  Good to know.

My church does not judge based on what you might find "offensive".  My church accepts.  Regardless of age, race, sexual orientation...you name it.

I do not expect your church to base judgement off of what I find offensive. I expect them to follow the tenants from the book they base their faith on. The Bible is VERY clear on homosexual relationships. The Bible expressly forbids the behavior.

See above.

And the bible was written by man.  That's one reason we use the bible as a resource - not the definitive word.

Tell me why sharks should not be able to vote. WTF cares. Has nothing to do what is being discussed.[/quotes

Figured you didn't know what morality meant!

So basically, you pick and choose what fits your agenda, from the Bible!

Just as many Christians do.  Example...Christ is all about the new testament.  Those are the teachings of your Messiah.  BUT...Leviticus gets cited a lot by Christians, which means that they are picking and choosing too.  Because if we follow Leviticus, we also need to remember not to cut our hair, that we should kill someone that we see working on the Sabbath, or that we not touch an "unclean" woman - ever.  But because a lot of Christians are patronizing barber shops and not gunning down Walmart workers on the Sabbath, it tells me that they pick and choose just as much as many heathens.

I asked before and have not received and answer so may be you will.  Where is morality mentioned in the COTUS because I must have missed it when I read through it.

Perhaps I do not, so by all means please enlighten me as to what morality means and how it applies to US law.

You ignored the entire question as well as the point that KC and I were making.  People are violating the tenants of their faith all the time by divorcing, pre-marital sex, co-habitation, touching a foot ball (pig-skin), laying with a woman when she is 'unclean' (how sexist is that?) and the list goes on.  So please spare us the 'adhering to the tenants of the faith' stuff because that holds no water.  Either you abide by all the tenants or none of them matter.
