The Mormon Church is a prime organization and we're not forced by rule of law to change their policy. Plural marriages are not recognized by the state but that does not preclude churches from doing it. The UT courts just stated that in a recent case as well.

I doubt one could find any evidence that God "created" marriage.  Male and female humans were "effing" long before the word came about, and not only in a hetero way.
