Scooter Libby ignores the law and got a get out of jail free card and no one brought him up. Nixon broke the law and got a presidential pardon and we are not bringing him up.

Stop acting like this is news. People with power can break the law and not get punished. It happens on BOTH sides of the aisle. Please stop pretending that your chit smells like roses. Yes, there is a double standard..... on BOTH sides.

She is an agent of the government in that position of county clerk. As such, she is sworn to uphold the laws, rules, and regulations of the federal government, state government, and county, in that order. If she does not, and is ordered by a judge to do so, and refuses, she is in contempt. She is then jailed and/or fined. The judge did not fine her because he knew people like you would jump to pay her fines. End of story.

I would love to see this case happen to a Muslim clerk. Then it will really get interesting. Stay tuned more cases like this will follow.
